Merle Wood & Associates is pleased to announce that the 205’ (62m) LADY LOLA yacht sold this week. Winner of a Showboats International Award, and constructed at the renowned Dutch yard Oceanco, LADY LOLA has a wide beam of 34’5” (10.5m) and a draft of 11’11” (3.65m). Purposely built for ultimate privacy, the entire upper deck is dedicated to her owners. The forward master stateroom offers 270-degree panoramic views, a private study and his-and-hers separate en suites complete with a hot tub; a sheltered terrace allows for private al fresco breakfasts, or simply some time alone. The private owners’ salon aft features a 60” TV with surround sound for ultimate viewing pleasure. Able to accommodate 10 guests in 5 staterooms, 4 guest suites are on the lower deck, each with its own en suite and large wardrobes. Accommodation for a total of 16 crew ensures first-class service.

This is the fourth time since 2002 that Merle Wood & Associates is able to announce the LADY LOLA yacht sold, which is a testament to our abilities as a yacht brokerage firm, with a sales record that is truly second to none.

The LADY LOLA yacht sold with a convertible helipad, which was added in 2005 in a small refit, however her interior was completely redesigned in 2012 to the vision of yacht designer Francois Zuretti. The well-known yacht designer generously retained the use of exquisite marbles and Norwegian birch burl and mahogany woods, creating an ambience of understated elegance.

Lloyd’s-classed and MCA-compliant, the LADY LOLA yacht sold to new owners who wanted the ideal vessel for entertainment and pleasure. Constructed in steel and aluminum by Oceanco and styled by yacht designers at The A Group, her oversized sun deck is large enough to host 120 guests for docked parties, and features a plunge pool adorned with a waterfall to make her the perfect vessel on which to entertain guests. Rounding out the unique amenities are a retractable golf tee, al fresco theater, and a gym. Two distinct al fresco dining options with a retractable awning each offer exquisite views, while a 28’ Novurania tender rests on the beach platform.

Powered by two Cat 3512B DITA engines, she has a maximum speed of 15 knots, and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 4,500nm. Zero-speed stabilizers keep guests comfortable.

Huckleberries: Lady Lola cruises back into view

In case you wondered what happened to the Lady Lola after Duane Hagadone sold her for $90 million in 2004, S-R reporter Scott Maben and Darrell Kerby of Bonners Ferry have the answer.

Recently, Scott spotted the Coeur d’Alene multimillionaire’s megayacht in Victoria, British Columbia. Darrell gawked at it at the Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle.

Seems Hagadone bought his ship back in 2011 for $47 million and offered it for sale again in 2015, according to SuperYachtFan . The website estimates Hagadone’s wealth at $800 million.

So why am I telling you all this? For a mere $430,000, you can treat up to 10 guests to a once-in-a-lifetime cruise by renting the Lady Lola for a week. If you have to look at your bank balance to decide whether you can afford the rental, you can’t.

Fender bender

When we last encountered Eden Irgens’ daughter, Riley, she was emerging with her first driver’s license after the usual ungodly wait at the Kootenai County Courthouse office. Now we learn that Riley has already been involved in a fender-bender. But her mom isn’t complaining.

Running late Wednesday morning, Eden backed out of her Coeur d’Alene garage only to be stopped by a small “crunch.” Eden’s left rear bumper had introduced itself to Riley’s right front bumper. Eden’s tears brought neighbors, who checked to see if she was OK. That, and the fact that no one was hurt, cheered Eden up.

“That is the happy ending to this story,” Facebooks Eden. “It’s just money, right?” And a bruised ego.

Joe Butler, of our marketing web team, remembers sportswriter Howie Stalwick from their days together at the Coeur d’Alene Press: “He has an encyclopedic knowledge of anyone who has ever played on, visited or flown over Spokane/E Washington athletic fields. Washington poet laureate Tod Marshall is planning an early Christmas present for the many fans of the late Tom Wobker, whom you knew here as The Bard of Sherman Avenue. Tod is putting the finishing touches on a 64-page book that’ll contain 250 of Tom’s small poems that first appeared in Huckleberries. Tod hopes to have the book finished for a Coeur d’Alene reveal this fall. Huckleberries will keep you posted … Taylor Viydo, the talented roving KREM-2 reporter who keeps track of such things, can add two more to his list of power poles that have been shaved off by errant motorists – one owned by Avista and one by Kootenai Electric Co-op. Both were leveled after Taylor’s recent story about the unusual number of crashes between vehicles and KEC power poles … The Idaho GOP could use that class in civility offered by the GOP-dominated Idaho Legislature. On Thursday, @IdahoGOP was promoting a $6 bumper sticker via Twitter that reads: “Hillary for Prison 2016.” Tsk tsk … Poll: If you think “lady” is an offensive term, you should know that 92 percent of my Huckleberries blog readers disagree … Huckleberries hates to break this to Spokane boosters, but the top reason – by a 2-to-1 margin – that North Idaho residents visit Spokane is – (drum roll, please) airport runs.

Parting shot

You aren’t the only one wondering why blustery Trustee Ron Nilson is still on the North Idaho College board. After all, three months ago Nilson announced he was quitting because he wanted no part of an alleged college takeover. Word has it that he wanted to be at the August meeting to officially welcome new President Richard MacLennan. Nilson served on the search committee. He’ll be done Aug. 31. We’ll wait to exhale.

A General Description of Motor Yacht LADY LOLA

Being built by the Oceanco Yachts (Alblasserdam Yachtbuilding) yacht builder in the Netherlands the LADY LOLA is 63 m 205 (ft) in length. Completed in 2002 the comparatively recent internal styling proffers the worth of owner and Zuretti Interior Design. Superyacht LADY LOLA is able to accommodate up to 12 people with 15 qualified crew. She can reach a high speed of 15 knots.

The Build & Design relating to Luxury Yacht LADY LOLA

Oceanco was the naval architect firm involved in the professional nautical design work for LADY LOLA. Also the company Oceanco skillfully collaborated on this project. Interior designer Zuretti Interior Design was selected for the creative interior ambience. In 2002 she was formally launched with triumph in Alblasserdam and following sea trials and detailing was thereafter handed over to the yacht owner. Oceanco Yachts (Alblasserdam Yachtbuilding) completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. The main hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made extensively with aluminium. With a width of 10.5 m or 34.4 ft LADY LOLA has fairly large interior. A fairly deep draught of 3.65m (12ft) limits the amount of marinas she can visit, taking into account their specific characteristics.

Engines & Speeds For M/Y LADY LOLA:

The 3512B DITA engine installed in the motor yacht is produced by CATERPILLAR. She is driven by twin screw propellers (lips 5 blades). The main engine of the ship gives 1673 horse power (or 1231 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The combined output for the boat is 3346 HP or 2462 KW. With respect to stabalisers she was built with Koopnautic. The bow thrusters are Holland Roer.

Luxury motor yacht Lady Lola was built in 2002 by Dutch shipyard Oceanco to be both a far-cruising and highly private superyacht. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she features naval architecture and exterior design by Oceanco and the interior work of Zuretti. This twin screw yacht measures 62.6 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Motor yacht Lady Lola is a combination of her owner’s desired characteristics and Oceanco’s trademark technology and innovation. She is well-equipped for long-range cruising and has a bright and natural feel with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout that allow the outside to shine in.

The owners expressed that sufficient privacy onboard the yacht was a must-have feature and this desire is reflected in the upper deck that is solely dedicated to the owners. It is completely closed-off from the remainder of the yacht and encompasses a forward stateroom with panoramic views, private office, bathroom with hot tub, salon and a sheltered terrace.

Luxury yacht Lady Lola is equipped with a range of accessories that make her an attractive entertaining vessel including a tender beach club, retractable golf tee, an outdoor theatre, and a Jacuzzi/pool on the sundeck that features a waterfall tumbling over two levels. Her huge deck spaces and generous sundeck are perfectly capable of hosting up to 120 guests for in-port parties and also accommodate a helipad.

Amongst her five cabins are the indulgent owner’s suite and four guest cabins. The crew’s quarters include a Captain’s suite and seven double cabins.

Luxury yacht Lady Lola is powered by two Caterpillar 3512B DITA engines that allow her to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots. She can achieve a range of 4,500 nautical miles while cruising at a speed of 12 knots.

62m Oceanco Motor Yacht Lucky Lady For Sale

Sold in January 2017, the 62.6 metre motor yacht Lady Lola is back on the market, renamed Lucky Lady and jointly listed for sale by  Burgess with Fraser .

Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Oceanco to a design by The A Group , Lucky Lady was delivered in 2002 and hailed at the time as the highest quality yacht yet launched from the yard. Lloyd's classed and MCA compliant, her interior by François Zuretti is themed around Norwegian birch burl wood and mahogany, with a liberal use of fine marbles.

She completed a refit and interior re-design in 2012. During the refit the entire upper level owner's deck was transformed into a 325 square metre private owner's apartment boasting a forward facing owner's suite with 270 degree panoramic views, separate his and hers bathrooms, a private forward facing terrace, a study and a saloon aft. A further major interior refit of decor and soft goods was carried out in 2017.

Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins including the master suite. The four guest suites below deck feature en-suite marble bathrooms, seating areas and large closets, making them VIP cabins.

She also features a spacious flybridge for enjoying the space outdoors, which includes a plunge pool with waterfall, an outdoor cinema, two al fresco dining areas and a golf driving range. Twin 1,650hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Super Yachts, Other Water Toys for the Ultra-Rich Surface in Florida

In the market for a super yacht? Then it may be time to take a trip down to Florida.

There will be $4 billion worth of floating real estate on display at the annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which kicked off Thursday. About 1,500 boats and 100,000 people will gather in South Florida for the event, which is considered by many to be the Super Bowl of boat shows.

While some of the world's biggest and most expensive yachts will be on display, the sale isn't limited to high-end yachts. The show also features plenty of toys for the super rich to play with while they're out at sea, including a megayacht-friendly chopper and a luxury submarine.

Here are a few super-rich highlights:

Lady Lola Yacht

Price tag: $53 million

The only thing better than hitting a hole-in-one on the golf course is hitting one off your 200-foot megayacht.

Newspaper magnate, real estate developer and golf aficionado Duane Hagadone is selling his custom-built yacht, which he said comes with plenty of "sizzle."

The most sizzling feature for golfers is an automatic tee system on the top deck. It's accompanied by floating holes that can be released into the water to create an 18-hole wet golf course.

Named after Hagadone's wife, the Lady Lola includes four guest rooms and an owner's suite that takes up an entire 3,000-square-foot deck. There's also a plunging pool, a grand piano and a soundproof office, for days you need to get some work done between rounds of golf.

The yacht's $300,000 custom-made mahogany tender — a smaller boat designed for water activities and shuttling the owner back and forth to shore — does double duty as a very expensive golf cart for crew members to retrieve floating golf balls.

This five-deck yacht is one of the most expensive boats at the show.

Bell 407GX Helicopter

Price tag: $3 million

Bell Helicopter offers a VIP design service that specializes in choppers custom-designed to land on your megayacht.

The 407GX, which Bell bills as a "limousine" in the sky, can be custom built to seat up to six passengers. It can also be customized to include special Bose headsets, in-flight entertainment systems and hand-crafted Italian leather.

This particular model is light enough to accommodate most nautical helipads, special landing pads that allow you to ground your chopper directly on your yacht.

U-Boat Worx Super Yacht Sub 3

Price tag: $1.6 million

Submarine maker U-Boat Worx is hoping to catch the eye of a super yacht owner who wants to take a $1.6 million plunge.

The luxury sub has room for two passengers and one pilot and can dive more than 1,000 feet. The interior is modeled to feel like an underwater sports car — but unlike one of these high-powered vehicles, the underwater vessel includes a wine chiller.

The sleek submarine is designed to fit into a 71-square-foot storage area, making it easy to tuck away inside your super yacht's tender garage. And for the discriminating owner who likes his toys to match his yacht, there are plenty of bespoke options available.

The U-Boat Worx Super Yacht Sub 3 is still in production, but the company said three have already been sold.
