Today's Donkey Island, also known as "Goni" in its old name, is 1 hour away from Çeşme, and is ideal for daily yacht excursions with its clean coves and hospitable donkeys.

BLUE BAY (AQUARIUM)

Blue Bay, just west of Donkey Island; It takes its name from its fascinating and clear waters, which are like a natural aquarium.

Allerdings wird die Miyabi mit 20 Metern nicht als Superyacht gezählt, diese fangen bei 25 Metern an. Ab 60 Metern werden die Schiffe mitunter auch als „Megayachten“ bezeichnet, ab 100 Meter als „ Gigayachten “. Die günstigste Superyacht im Angebot ist die 26 Meter lange Sandi IV (25.000 Euro/Woche), mit der acht Gäste reisen können.

Yachten zwischen 30 und 40 Metern besonders beliebt

Ocean Independance schließt nach eigenen Angaben 750 Charter-Verträge pro Jahr ab. Marcus Krall, Sprecher des Unternehmens, führt gegenüber dieser Redaktion aus, dass es keinen „Star“ im Portfolio gebe, die Yachten zwischen 30 und 40 Metern Länge allerdings beliebt seien: „Sie können im Mittelmeer überall problemlos anlegen und besitzen alle Annehmlichkeiten einer Superyacht.“

Der Geschmack der Kunden sei individuell , „manche mögen lieber ein gediegenes statt ein modernes Interieur, sagt der Sprecher. Andere legten Wert auf Wassersport-Toys wie Jetskis – etwa für den Familienurlaub auf hoher See. Den buchten vor allem Unternehmer.

Wer eine derartige Luxusyacht bucht, bekommt eine Crew dazu. „Auf Segelyachten bietet es sich indes an, am Geschehen teilzunehmen“, sagt Krall. Was die beliebtesten Reiseziele sind? Das westliche Mittelmeer mit den Schwerpunkten Süditalien , Côte d’Azur und Balearen , zählt er auf. In den USA seien es die Bahamas und die Karibik.

Die Yachten werden nicht nur in der klassischen Hochsaison Juli und August gebucht, „sondern auch früher im Jahr, etwa für die Formel 1 in Monaco oder das Cannes Film Festival “. Die Nachfrage in den vergangenen Jahren sei konstant bis steigend.

Click & Boat , auf der Privatleute Yachten anbieten können, verzeichnet seit 2022 einen klaren Anstieg der Nachfrage. In diesem Jahr sei bereits 3500 mal eine Yacht gebucht worden, sagt Marketing-Managerin Nora Futaky dieser Redaktion. Bei den Kunden handle es sich häufig um Unternehmer und CEOs mit ihren Familien , aber auch größere Freundesgruppen, die gemeinsam reisen. „Auch für Events oder besondere Anlässe werden Yachten gebucht“.

Zum Beispiel haben Heidi Klum und Tom Kaulitz für ihre Flitterwochen in Italien vor fünf Jahren die beliebte Yacht „Christina O“ gemietet, die damals bis zu 630.000 Euro für eine Woche kostete. Auch weitere Stars wie Paul McCartney, Madonna oder Johnny Depp haben die „Christina O“ schon einmal in Anspruch genommen.

Über viele weitere Webseiten, wie zum Beispiel MSC, Globe Sailor und Happy Charter, lassen sich Superyachten mieten oder kaufen. In den meisten Fällen werden die Schiffe auf Wochenbasis zum Chartern angeboten, es sind aber auch Tagesmieten möglich, die mit mehreren Tausend Euro zu Buche schlagen.
