Tooling and Prototyping

Greenline Yachts models are tooled using high-precision 5-axis milling machines and model-shop/tooling technicians with extensive knowhow and experience based on building the tooling for world’s most renowned yards. The very sophisticated tooling used is the base of a very efficient and streamlined production process – arguably one of the most advanced worldwide.

Infusion Technology

Greenline Yachts have adopted the vacuum infusion technology since it’s inception. Compared to traditional hand lay-up there are several benefits such as optimal amount of resin used in the process resulting in optimal weight and stiffness, higher quality of materials used (osmosis proof vinyl ester resin) as well as being environmentally friendlier.

Handcrafted Finish

Tradition and experience means a great deal in boat building. A boat (sailing or power) will always be, at least at decisive stages, a hand made product therefore craftmanship is of great importance. Greenline Yachts are built by one of the most skilled and experienced craftsmen based on centuries of local boatbuilding tradition and over half a century of composite boatbuilding experience.

Advantages of Greenline Yachts

  • Revolutionary super displacement hull which reduces drag, creates less wake and requires less fuel.
  • Featured hybrid system with range of approximate 20 nautical miles on electric drive. Traditional diesel motor supplements this hybrid system.
  • Greenline yachts offers clean electric energy without noise and smoke while enjoying drastically reduced fuel consumption.
  • Greenline yachts is the largest marine hybrid fleet in the world.
  • Solar panels provide full energy to on-board equipment while docked or at anchor.
  • Greenline yachts seaworthiness (class B certified yacht, built to withstand winds up to 34-40 knots and waves of 13-20 ft).
  • Full warranty and certification system as well as top class dealer and hybrid service support..

Extreme Comfort

Maintaining the comfort and convenience both on deck as well as down below at the highest level across the whole Greenline Yachts range is of the most importance to us. The excellence in styling attracts even the most demanding and experienced boaters.

Brightness and panoramic view

Greenline models across the range share some common principles. One of them is natural light and a 360° panoramic view in the salon making living onboard pleasant and comfortable for the whole family.

All the comforts of home

On a Greenline, you will have constant 230 or 120 V AC power onboard to power your home appliances at all times. It is truly home away from home with a normal-size fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, air conditioning and normal sockets for charging your devices are all at your convenience, even when you are not hooked up on shore power at your dock

All in one level

We pride ourselves in having one of the most comfortable and safe range of boats available on the market.

The Greenline concept puts comfort and convenience at the top of our priority list making it easy to move around as there is not a single step to overcome from the bathing platform to the helmsman’s position. Even the Greenline 48 Fly and our flagship Oceanclass 65 only have two steps from the platform to the cockpit level. This is truly unique on a high-volume yacht and ensures a very low center of gravity, which means stability.

Maximum Convenience

The Hybrid hull has evolved from the Greenline signature hull design called Superdisplacement which incorporates some of the properties of a modern sailing boat hull that moves through the water with the least amount of drag and exceeds the theoretical speed of the hull that is defined by the length of the waterline.

Hybrid hull is a natural evolution of the Superdisplacement as it enables cruising at higher speeds while still maintaining optimal consumption and stability at lower cruising speeds. The Hybrid hull allows for smooth and stable cruising at 10, 12, 16, 20, 25 and even 30 knots. This way the owner can choose from the range of engines offered – the power of the engines defines the cruising speed without having to compromise the safety, stability or consumption levels of your Greenline.

The fuel consumption per nautical mile is much lower than that of a comparable displacement hull and as little as one quarter of a semi-displacement, twin engine planing boat.

This revolutionary hull efficiently covers the speed range from zero to over double displacement speed – up to 18 knots in case of a 10 meter waterline and up to 25 knots in case of a 12 meter waterline.

With twin stabilisers on the Greenline 33 and 40, it has unmatched anti-roll and tracking stability. It offers a comfortable and safe ride in all weather conditions, faced by a head-on, side or following sea.

Interview: Greenline Yachts on the growth of hybrid boats

Monday, October 16th, 2023

Written by: Chantal Haines

greenline yachts bizi

In 2008 Slovenian boatbuilder Greenline launched the Greenline 33, the first production hybrid boat. The 33ft family cruiser went on to win over 30 awards – including International Boat of the Year – and Greenline sold almost 500 units in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Since then, Greenline has launched a range of larger boats – the 58 Fly will make its world debut at Cannes Yachting Festival – and Greenline remains the only full range of yachts to be offered in hybrid and electric. In many ways, 2023/4 signals a period of transition for the brand and the Greenline 33 has been discontinued to make way for more large and mid size models.

Luca Raumland, chief sales and marketing officer, says: “Our plan to introduce more models in the mid to larger size range is in answer to customer demand. We acknowledge that many boaters are seeking increased space, higher comfort, and additional features. By expanding our offerings, we’re ensuring that these boaters can find what they need within our range.”

With the demand for larger yachts, the builder is expanding production capacity, looking for a facility with access to the water. The firm has been searching for a coastal location site and identified potential sites in both Slovenia and Croatia. The project will start within the next 12 months.

Hybrid electric boats

While the company does not divulge the current split between hybrid and ICE boats it delivers, the team says there has been a positive shift towards the green side and in 2021 the builder reported that ‘every second yacht leaving the shipyard is equipped with hybrid propulsion’.

Matjaz Grm, Greenline CEO, says: “It’s fair to say there’s a noticeable shift towards hybrid/ electric boating. As consumer awareness and confidence in green technology rises, we’ve seen a considerable change in the order book mix, with a growing number of customers opting for hybrid and electric models.”

Grm continues: “People are becoming more conscious of their impact on the environment and seek solutions that align with their values. This increasing awareness creates favourable conditions for growth and adoption of sustainable boating practices.”

Raised awareness of the environmental impact of leisure marine is opening up the conversation. “We are witnessing a rising trend in the nautical industry with the emergence of numerous startups introducing electric day runners, wakeboard boats, and similar offerings,” says Raumland. “The entry of more brands into the realm of alternative propulsion serves as a positive development for us.”

Pictured left: Greenline’s Luca Raumland, Matjaz Grm and COO Peter Meyer.

Raumland continues: “Previously, we faced the challenge of promoting our beliefs and ideas on our own, but now we have allies. The shift towards alternative propulsion is gaining momentum and we are excited about the possibilities for faster progress in alternative propulsion systems. Interestingly, the recent introduction of a new hybrid system by Beneteau Group and Volvo has garnered attention, although it has stated that it won’t be available in the market until 2025.”

Learning from the electric car market

Vladimir Zinchenko, Greenline owner and advisory board member, notes that the influence of the electric vehicle market is also important in building customer adoption: “As hybrid propulsion becomes more of a norm in the automotive industry, we see that more customers are choosing hybrid for their leisure boats too. Trust in this propulsion system is growing.”

The team at Greenline believes the marine industry has much to learn from the automotive industry’s vast investment in electrification. Innovations in battery efficiency and technology could also have a significant impact on the marine sector and a positive trickle-down. Zinchenko adds: “It’s essential to learn from the automotive industry’s experiences in consumer education, dealer training, and infrastructure development. The adoption of electric and hybrid propulsion systems in boating is gaining momentum, but the current rate of infrastructural development in marinas and service centres needs to keep up. Investments in high-speed charging infrastructure are crucial to meet this increasing demand and provide efficient and convenient solutions for our customers.”

Lithium-ion batteries

While the hybrid and zero-emission movement is gaining momentum, some in the industry have raised issues with the processes involved in battery production, namely whether they’re as harmful to the environment as the fossil fuels they seek to replace. Raumland counters that consumers need to think of the long-term benefits. “While it’s true that lithium ion battery production has an environmental footprint, it’s important to consider the entire life cycle of the product,” says Raumland. “For example, an electric car with limited usage may take several years to offset the initial CO2 impact from battery production. On the other hand, a yacht that frequently relies on diesel generators and engines can significantly reduce its CO2 emissions within the first year by incorporating batteries for domestic appliances and partial propulsion.”

Greenline says the environmental impact of batteries versus fossil fuels depends on the specific use case. Additionally, Raumland points to advancements being made in battery technology and production efficiency, which are “expected to decrease emissions associated with lithium-ion battery production over time.”

Supply, costs and labour

There is currently a significant premium for customers to pay for a hybrid boat and motivating consumers to buy into the agenda is a challenge for all brands. Like the EV market, Greenline is taking a ‘way of life’ approach. “Our primary selling point is not just the hybrid technology but the overall value proposition we offer,” says Raumland. “Greenline Yachts are designed for comfort, beauty, and spaciousness. While the hybrid aspect may come at a premium, we believe the longerterm benefits such as reduced fuel costs, lower maintenance, and the environmental impact make it a worthy investment. The appeal of our yachts extends beyond just the technology; it’s about a complete, more sustainable, and comfortable boating experience.”

Zinchenko adds: “It is clear that the desire for hybrid/electric boating is on the rise globally. Many of our customers are increasingly conscious about the environment and are seeking more sustainable alternatives.”

Reflecting the wider marine industry, supply chain issues for Greenline have subsided in 2023. Grm explains that the supply chain situation has largely stabilised, with most components readily available. However, there are still occasional challenges with specific parts that rely on the supply of semiconductor chips.

“While these instances can pose minor hurdles, they do not significantly impact overall production. The primary challenge in manufacturing lies in managing labour costs and addressing human resource issues,” says Grm. “Rising inflation and increasing salaries have led to a notable increase in labour expenses,” he says. “Moreover, sourcing an adequate labour force has become a more substantial obstacle. The focus now is on finding skilled workers and managing the associated costs, which continue to be significant concerns in the manufacturing process.”

Green boating

Zinchenko highlights the development of Greenline’s 6G hybrid system as its most significant technological leap forward in recent years. “We’re incredibly excited about our forthcoming models. The 6G hybrid advanced system offers boaters more possibilities than any other system currently available in the market for boats of this kind.”

greenline yachts bizi

Interest is positive but range anxiety still plays a part in the consumer transition to eco boating. “While our products are at the forefront of the hybrid/electric propulsion movement,” says Grm. “The range expectation for purely electric power can sometimes be perceived as a limitation. However, we see this as a challenge rather than a constraint. With the rapid advancements in battery technology and solar panel efficiency, we believe that the future is bright for enhanced range in electric and hybrid boats.”

As with the majority of manufacturers, more attention is also turning to reducing the environmental impact on the manufacturing side of the business, as much as the end products. Raumland explains: “Of course, our yachts are still made of plastic and production in a sustainable way is hard to achieve in such a small company. We recycle foam core and foam structure and make it into insulation for construction. While creating our furniture we recycle the sawdust into heating pallets and give them to the local kindergarten. We are also doing tests with bio-resin and flex fibres to hopefully roll out in 2024.” Greenline no longer prints brochures and has opted to digitalise a lot of owner documents. The boatbuilder is also in the process of calculating its carbon footprint and plans to set new goals of how to minimise this further.

When Greenline entered the boatbuilding sector, it was one of the few boatbuilders at the time spearheading hybrid technology. Well over a decade later, Zinchenko reflects on the market evolution and the work left to do: “If there’s one thing we’d like to change in the marine industry, it’s the rate of adoption of sustainable technologies,” he says. “The boating industry has a responsibility towards environmental conservation. Thus, we advocate for quicker adoption of sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact. This change should also include an accelerated incorporation of innovations from the automotive sector, particularly those relating to electric and hybrid technology. By fostering a closer collaboration with the automotive industry, the boating sector could benefit from rapid advances and contribute more effectively to a sustainable future.”

Greenline Yachting launches hybrid propulsion brand GX Superyachts at Monaco Yacht Show

Greenline Yachts launches hybrid propulsion brand GX Superyachts at Monaco Yacht Show

Hybrid boatbuilder Greenline Yachts has launched a new brand, GX Superyachts, at this year's Monaco Yacht Show .

The range will encompass aluminium builds from 24 to 56 metres, with the first 42-metre model already sold and under construction at SES Yachts ' facilities in Tuzla, Turkey. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2026.

The brand hopes to "set a new benchmark in environmental performance" with its serial hybrid drive, battery bank and integrated solar arrays, previously used within the Greenline brand.

Each model will be able to reach six knots and a range of up to 100 nautical miles in electric mode, with the shipyard promising "less than 40 per cent of the carbon emissions" of a conventional yacht. The range's efficient hull design is owed to Francesco Rogantin of NAMES studio.

Marco Casali of Italian studio Too Design is responsible for the exterior, with two variants available: the Coupé and the RPH. The Coupé has a long, curved superstructure roofed with solar panels that slide apart to reveal a hidden sun deck, complete with Jacuzzi and bar. Meanwhile, the RPH version offers a flybridge with a volume of 353GT. Both designs benefit from a beach club with fold-down wings and a hydraulic platform.

Interior design is also owed to Casali, who has opted to use "specialized brands" such as Antonio Lupi, Dornbracht and Poltrona Frau. "I am proud of the way we have reinterpreted the timeless looks of the smaller [Greenline] yachts to give soul and purpose to the lines of the new superyachts," said Casali, "The challenge around sustainability is particularly close to my heart."

The GX range will be capable of "silent" anchorage for 48 hours or more. The battery bank will power the hotel load during this time, including air conditioning, for "no noise, vibration or smell" from combustion.

In diesel mode, the yachts will have a maximum speed of 12 knots and an impressive range of 11,571 nautical miles at six knots.

The GX42 is the newest brand to break into the superyacht category, launched at this year's Monaco ... [+] Yacht Show. This is the Coupé version, featuring a roof covered in gleaming solar panels that slide apart to reveal a sunning and Jacuzzi area.

The unveiling of a new superyacht brand doesn't come along very often, but when it does it is big news, particularly when it is on a global stage like the Monaco Yacht Show. The new superyacht brand, GX Superyachts , is the "brainchild" of the principals of Greenline Yachts , known for production of efficient hybrid yachts up to 58 feet. Greenline, headquartered in Begunje, Slovenia, began building yachts over 15 years ago, employing smart hull design, solar charging, and hybrid propulsion.

About The Yachts

GX Superyachts offers a custom lineup of yachts ranging from 78-164 feet (24-56 meters) constructed of aluminum, with priorities on quality, innovation, and respect for the planet. The yachts will also pay homage to sustainable but distinctive designs with high levels of luxury. The yachts will fully embrace Greenline's commitment to responsible yachting, aiming to set new standards for environmental performance.

The GX Superyacht, a brand new marque in the superyacht sector, is a product line of Greenline ... [+] Yachts. Two versions of the GX 42 both offer a large beach club with fold out wings and hydraulic step.

Greenline yard owner Vladimir Zinchenko explains, "Our journey started with Greenline Yachts, where we pioneered the world's first serial production hybrid yacht over 10 meters back in 2008," continuing, "With more than 1,000 yachts delivered globally, Greenline has been at the forefront of innovation in the boating industry. Through that time, we have tried to further our vision of responsible yachting — from sourcing raw materials right through to the operation of the yacht itself."

Andrea Armas To Act As Consultant To Board

With 28 years of experience as an owner's representative working with major international shipyards, Andreas Armas has earned a post as consultant to the Board of Directors at GX Superyachts. A naval architect and marine engineer, Arnas specializes in yachtbuilding supervision for experienced and discerning owners.

Arnas noted, "I am backing GX Superyachts because I admire their ambition and vision. My goal is to help the team translate their decade-long experience in hybrid recreational boat building into the highly regulated superyacht sector."

This rendering of the GX Superyachts 42 Coupé shows the view of the stern. The GX Superyachts brand ... [+] is the newest superyacht marque, bringing an entirely new look to the market.

At the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, a 32-foot (9.9-meter) all electric Greenline yacht found His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, known for his keen appreciation of environmental practices, requesting an escort to the Monaco Yacht Club in the boat. That scenario sparked the idea to expand the Greenline models to include superyachts. The result brought GX Superyachts to fruition at this year's 2024 show.

Sustainable Capabilities And Solid Range

"Each yacht in our GX Superyacht range is equipped with our innovative hybrid propulsion system, allowing for both efficient electric cruising and powerful diesel performance when needed," Luca Raumland, Chief Commercial Officer, commented. He further stated that at 6 knots in electric mode, these yachts have a 100 nautical mile range, extending to 11,571 nautical miles at 6 knots. The yachts can make trans-Atlantic crossings at 12 knots.

Comparisons to conventional yachts show that the GX range will emit less than 40 percent in comparable carbon emissions. Designed with a large solar array and lithium battery bank, the yacht can sit silently at anchor for over 48 hours, running full hotel systems including air conditioning without requiring help from a generator. That also translates to noiseless, vibration-free, odor-free operation that finds increasing appeal with superyacht owners.

The GX RPH flybridge is the latest marque to enter the superyacht scene, with brand launch recently ... [+] at the Monaco Yacht Show.

GX42 In Build

Already well underway with the keel laying ceremony on June 1, 2024, the first GX 42 will go to a customer that came through the Greenline network. Specializing in composite construction up to 78 feet (24 meters) in the Slovenian shipyard, the GX team needed to select a new build partner experienced in building larger aluminum yachts. They signed with SES Yachts in Tuzla, Türkiye, a custom aluminum yacht expert.

According to Elif Yildirim, Managing Partner of SES, "We embrace custom and semi-custom projects, and the new GX Superyachts range plays perfectly to the skills we have in house." Yildirim also emphasized the importance of being a family-owned business focused on sustainability, acknowledging that collaboration has been very smooth on this first build, looking toward a future with GX and many more yachts.

The Importance of Design

The GX Superyachts GX42 RPH has an expansive aft beach club deck, designed by Marco Casali of Too ... [+] Design.

Described as "achingly sleek exterior lines," the GX Superyachts sport lines from Marco Casali, displaying an efficient, low-profile superstructure allowing large interior volume. Two variations of the model, the Coupé and the RPH, are available.

The Coupé sports a long, curved superstructure. The roof is covered in gleaming solar panels which slide apart to reveal a hidden sun deck with jacuzzi and bar. The RPH version is designed with a large flybridge in clean, modern aesthetics, with 353 GT volume. Both versions offer guests an expansive beach club with fold-down wings and hydraulic step platform.

For the interiors, Casali continues the chic simplicity of the exteriors, styling the first GX42 with impressive bath fixtures from Antonio Lupi and porcelainware from Dornbracht. Loose furnishings from Poltrona Frau and Rugiano are complemented by Foglizzo leathers and Cadorin natural wood flooring.

Casali, founder of Too Design, commented, "Our studio has long worked with Greenline Yachts, so we understood exactly what the new GX Superyachts brief required. "I am proud of the way we have reinterpreted the timeless looks of the smaller yachts to give soul and purpose to the lines of the new superyachts."

The latest superyacht brand, GX Superyachts, will be built in two versions: a Coupé and an RPH. Both ... [+] will be sustainable, have long range, and enjoy suitable luxury superyacht amenities.

Technical Talent

Underwater hull lines maximizing stability and speed potential from Francesco Rogantin of NAMES Studio proves an important element in achieving the long range of the GX Superyachts with respectable speed. Rogantin said, "The challenge was to analyze the different operational scenarios and ensure that the hull and appendages performed to their best for each one."

Delivery Schedule

On track for a summer 2026 delivery, the first GX42 will put the exclamation point on this new superyacht brand. To learn more about GX Superyachts head to the website , or stop by the stand at the Monaco Show, QA1 Quai Antione IER.

In addition to the cockpit entertaining area, there is an intimate U shaped bow lounge area just above the cabin accessible via a unique passage through the windshield to port. Following the Greenline Yachts One Level Living concept there is only one step to overcome from the cockpit to the bow also making it safe and effortless to bring up the mooring line in case of stern-to Mediterranean docking. Greenline NEO can host up to unprecedented 16 guests, 11 of which are able to face forward during navigation which represents a uniquely comfortable and safe feeling while piercing through the waves.

NEO Coupe features a full size cabin down below with an “island” double berth or optional Greenline’s signature “scissor” berths together with surprisingly spacious head compartment and ample wardrobe and storage space. Open and Hard Top versions also share the cabin layout with the separate toilet compartment and a V-shaped settee with a table that can be transformed into a double berth. Choosing from broad range of interior upholstery fabric options and colors including furniture wood each NEO can be an individual of its own and a pride and joy of it’s owner.

We are Dymph and Wim Bijnen, the proud owners of Greenline 40 named Dymple. We made some changes to the boat – the blue hull, extra teak on the sun deck and on the benches in the cockpit gives this boat more cachet. For this summer a trip is planned to the Olympics in London where there is a big Sail Parade on the Thames to London.

As we owned lots of boats before we know it’s impossible to design and built a new boat without any problems, however Greenline/Seaway pursued in getting the boat right! We have never seen service like this before, big compliments to Seaway and Nova yachting. We are now the proud owners of this wonderful hybrid. As we use the boat in the northern part of the Netherlands it’s awesome to sail electric through parts were there are only lots of birds, the silence is amazing. What we also love is just anchor somewhere in the middle of nature without worrying about shore-power and still have all the luxury like we were at home. In short; we love the setup of this hybrid! It’s quiet, full of luxury and very versatile. Love it! Greenline 33, too awesome.

We are very happy with our Greenline 40. It gives a new dimension for family navigation. The boat is comfortable and really easy to handle.

Jon and Anne Fleming live on the Gold Coast. They have owned a Greenline Hybrid 40 since 2013 and clocked up over 1000NM in the first year. The couple have owned a lot of boats over the years – we asked them why they chose the Greenline this time.

“We wanted to sometimes travel without noise. We chose the hybrid version of the Greenline for that reason and often use it when the tide is in our favour – and it’s terrific – both effective and efficient. We live on the Gold Coast and go away for a day or 2 at a time heading to South Stradbroke Island and Jumpinpin. The Greenline is very comfortable for overnight trips away with everything we want – we often say it’s just like an apartment. We love the large galley and great fridge. We also love the full size beds in the main cabin – it’s easy to divide them in the in day time and push them together in seconds at night.

Easter in Mooloolaba

For Easter we went to Mooloolaba which is around 80 miles from us. It was quite rough off the northern top of Moreton Island but we were reasonably comfortable on board and the boat handled the conditions beautifully. We had 4 adults and 2 children on board for the long weekend. We had a fantastic time – dropping the stern down to enjoy the water and indoor-outdoor living. I guess for us the Greenline stood out from the crowd. We wanted plenty of shade, walk around decks, single level living and a swim platform. We also love the overall visibility and the fact that we can sit in the cabin and watch TV. The living space is really well thought out. We are absolutely thrilled with boat and our experience with eyachts has been very good. They attend to everything straightaway and are a pleasure to deal with.”

John Bossi had his eye on the Greenline for months. After several boat shows, lots of reading and research, he made a shared decision with his wife, Jo. The couple finally settled on the Greenline 33 Hybrid over their second choice, a catamaran. In his own words, John shares with us what his family loves about the Greenline 33…

Why the Greenline 33? “At first the attraction was the styling. The Greenline has a unique look for the market…it’s retro but modern. The combination of design and material like the beautiful woods give it a great look. I’m also impressed with its phenomenal value for money just in the purchase price. That’s on top of the savings you gain from its hybrid engine and solar power features.”

Where has the Greenline taken you? “Mainly day trips on Sydney Harbour and an overnight at Cockle Bay. We had it offshore in a 2 to 3 meter swell and it exceeded my expectations. The Greenline is gentle and plows through waves easily. It’s a supremely seaworthy yacht. The steering is relaxed and doesn’t roll as much as some of our past boats. There is none of the slamming you get on a planning hull. We look forward to doing some coastal cruising and more overnights in the future.”

How’s life aboard? “We love it! We have 3 children and lots of friends and family we like to entertain. I’m Italian and my wife loves to cook big meals – its our way of relaxing, creating memories with our favourite people. The Greenline is a perfect fit for our lifestyle – it’s truly an entertainers’ boat.” The Greenline has a great layout with a seamless flow from inside to out. I’m always involved in what’s happening when I’m driving. Again, in my other boats, I was on the flybridge talking down to everyone below. We also had our Christmas party on board. I invited the staff from my dental practice to a restaurant for what they thought was lunch and showed up in the Greenline. They were ecstatic! With 10 guests on board we had a blast cruising Sydney Harbour on a beautiful summer day.”

Any surprises on the Greenline? “One night we docked off Cockle Bay for dinner thinking it would be a great way to avoid driving late at night. We went back to the boat around midnight when we realized the party on Cockle Bay was just getting started! Surprisingly, as soon as we shut the door our world went silent for a great night of sleep! I had no idea the sound insulation was that good.”

What would you like potential Greenline owners to know? “It’s an extremely versatile boat. The brochures indicates this, but it wasn’t until going to 3 boat shows and owning one myself that I realised what that meant. There are actually 5 saloon configurations we use when we have guests aboard (see photos below).

1. Dining with L shaped and side seating 2. Coffee Table seating 3. Comfortable helms seat for two 4. Open Saloon using coffee table as a serving table or seat on bathing platform 5. Guest berths with a double and single bed

Each configuration takes seconds to arrange. Also the bed in the owner’s cabin is so easy to convert – again seconds. Having two entrances into the bathroom is a really nice privacy feature. The engines are also easy to access.”

How was eyachts ? “Working with Dan Jones was great… there were never problems, only solutions. I found that across the board with everyone I was in contact with at eyachts. I’ve made a lot of purchases from dental equipment to motorcycles. I have never experienced a standard set so high across an organisation. I love the espresso machine that Dan gave me as a purchase gift – perfect for an Italian. It was very thoughtful and a great ending to a wonderful experience.”

Our names are Ron and Andrena Williams. We purchased our Greenline 33 about 5 months ago through a wonderful agent; Richard Wardenburg and his lovely wife Suzy, from Auckland NZ. We have really enjoyed this boat, it is ideal for our situation in The Marlborough Sounds, S.I. of New-Zealand. The Marlborough Sounds has 1,500 km`s of coastal waterways, with variable winds and seas flat, to quite rough at times. Greenline travels well and, no-one experiences motion sickness on this boat. It is ergonomically excellent, with the extended deck area enabling us to partake in more activities, more easily, such as divine, swimming. The cost per hour to “run” at 5.7litres of diesel, is envied by other boat users. PS: My wife has a fear of water and boats but has gotten quite confident on our Greenline 33.

As we owned lots of boats before we know it’s impossible to design and built a new boat without any problems, however Greenline/Seaway pursued in getting the boat right! We have never seen service like this before, big compliments to Seaway and Nova yachting. We are now the proud owners of this wonderful hybrid. Despite the acceptance of hybrid technology in cars, similar technology in boats still raises a few eyebrows, but there is no reason why it has any less promise in marine applications. Indeed, it may well be the future of powered boating and Slovenian boat builder Greenline is leading the way.

Hull shape and Hybrid propulsion are reducing the fuel consumption and environmental impact as well as increasing the comfort and quality of life on board.

The Greenline 33 is not only the big surprise of the year but arguably the most significant new boat of the decade.
