The International Laser Class hosts more events in more nations than any other one-design class in the world. In North America alone there are more than a thousand events each year. Whether you choose to race in local club events or international championships there is an event for everyone. The International Laser Class magazine, Laser World and the North American class magazine Laser Sailor will always keep you up-to-date on future events, results, and tips to improve your Laser sailing.
The International Laser Class Association runs a circuit of Masters events for Laser sailors over 35 years of age. The Masters circuit culminates in the Laser Masters World Championship which is held annually. The Laser Masters racing circuit is the largest and most heavily attended masters racing group of any one-design class in the world.

We have all the SUPs, windsurfers and other boards in stock so please come and check it out in person or online on our website. We have a great deal on the SUPs and Windsurfers, we are offering a no tax deal so if you are looking for an SUP or Windsurfer please contact us.
Our hours are currently from 9.30am to 2pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Saturdays we may not be open. so it might be best to call ahead of time.

The New Laser Cascais Sailing Dinghy is Coming
It's been a little while coming and ever since we heard about this new boat being created by Laser Performance we've been excited about the arrival of the Laser Cascais .
Designed by Bill Tripp the Cascais is named with a nod to fun sailing, beach and sea. The old north French cai or “sand bank” – quay in English – and cais in Portuguese – also pays homage to the Portuguese coastal resort town of Cascais , which is renowned as a world-class sailing venue and host of numerous international sailing events and races. LaserPerformance is proud that the Cascais is the first of several boats developed and built in Portugal.

The Sunfish combines easy rigging and manageability for a comfortable and hassle-free sailing experience. This is the sailboat loved by all. Designed in 1952 as the ultimate beach craft, the Sunfish sailboat is still a favourite with all ages. This maintenance free boat holds its resale value thanks to its robust construction, highlighted by hard chines and a flat underbody. The Sunfish can be stored almost anywhere and is a snap to car-top, making it a popular international class and easy to transport to your favourite beach for family fun.
The Sunfish has its roots planted firmly in 1947 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Friends Alexander “Al” Bryan and Cortlandt “Cort” Heyniger (the Al and Cort in Alcort) pondered, “How to put a sail on a surfboard?” The answer involved a rejected design for American Red Cross waterfront rescue surfboards, leading to the Sailfish – a lateen rigged, flat-decked, plywood marvel. In 1951, Bryan’s pregnant wife found its flat deck somewhat uncomfortable. The addition of a cockpit and widening of the hull created the Sunfish. The logo was created by Heyniger, who traced a nickel and added fins, the tail and an eye. Early wood Sailfish and Sunfish were available assembled or as kits. In 1959 the introduction of fiberglass and the low cost and ease of production led to the proliferation of Sunfish everywhere. Other improvements included aluminium spars replacing spruce, Dacron sails replacing cotton, ash replacing mahogany for tillers, resulting in increased speed, performance and reliability. Sunfish racing started almost as quickly as two or three boats came together – the first North American Championship was 1963, the first Midwinters was 1965.

We use digital scanning technology to ensure precise measurements of your boat. Our Certified Installers can come to you and scan the boat while it is in the water or on land. With our extensive catalog or in-house scans, we guarantee accurate and tailored results.
2. Computer Modelling the Design
We use computer modeling (CAD) to design the SeaDek covering specifically for your boat. By incorporating your desired color schemes and patterns, we create a customized solution that fits your boat's measurements perfectly.
3. Customizing Your SeaDek
We bring designs to life with state-of-the-art CNC routing, intricately cutting and patterning SeaDek material to match your design. Laser etching and engraving services add personalized touches.
4. Professional or DIY Installation
For a professional finish, we can install the SeaDek with your boat in the water or on land; our Certified Installers are completely mobile. Alternatively, you can install it yourself with our instructions and support.

Most ILCA/Laser parts sold by Marine Outfitters are produced/distributed by two suppliers: Zim Sailing and Optiparts/WinDesign . All Zim Sailing parts are class legal and can be used in sanctioned racing regattas (always check with your race coordinator). Most Optiparts/WinDesign are also class legal - in fact, all Optiparts/WinDesign products listed on our site are class legal unless otherwise noted. Products found in the Optiparts catalog will have an (*) asterisk if it is not class legal.
Some of our economically-priced tiller extensions and accessories are not class legal; they are well made by other manufacturers. These parts are competitively priced, as they do not pay the fees required to carry a "class legal" designation. If you have no plans to race your Laser and sail recreationally, we recommend these parts.
