SHANE is a 40-meter long mega yacht built by Mangusta in 2005 and recently refitted in 2017, 2018, and 2020, including carbon fiber fin stabilizers. Mangusta is one of the few shipyards that know how to preserve their DNA in all their deliveries; a Mangusta does not go unnoticed in any marina or bay. No one, like the Italian shipyard, knows how to masterfully combine luxury and exclusivity at its highest level, without giving up sportiness. Cancellation by the rental company: In some cases, the rental company may cancel the contract due to unforeseen circumstances, such as technical problems with the boat or events beyond their control. In such situations, you may be eligible for a refund or the option to reschedule the rental for an alternative date.

SHANE is a 2005 Mangusta 130 feet superyacht refitted first time in 2010 and the last one in 2017.  She has a fantastic crew (6 members) available to cruise the Western Med, and of course, visiting the main hot spots of the Ibiza and Formentera coastline.  This Mangusta 130 a fantastic ‘open yacht’ offering both space and speed.

The main hall

The main living room is super spacious with an open dining room. It offers bright and ideal spaces to gather with family and friends. Decoration is a combination of intense tones and whites. It has large sliding glass doors to the rear and its open design provides plenty of natural light. The dining room is complemented by wraparound windows for more light.

Foredeck seating area and aft deck sunbathing area

Outdoor living is well-appointed, offering a generous aft deck, alfresco dining, large sun pad, and cocktail bar. On the foredeck, there is a further sunning area.  Mangusta 130 has large decks that make it the perfect yacht for sunbathing. There is also an outdoor dining room and 2 large sunbathing pads. Yacht “Shane” has a large bathing platform and a wide range of aquatic toys.  With speed of up to 35 knots, powered by twin MTU 3,645hp engines, she is sure to take her charter guests on an exhilarating cruise.

They are not included in the rental price, as they can be large and variable depending on what we have planned for our day by boat. Water toys are the most demanded, among them the seabob, very fun and safe. You can also request a boat catering service, prepared cold food with its own ready-to-eat packaging; a good option when we opt for routes or coves in which there are no beach restaurants, or that do not have tender service or to which it is very difficult to access by boat, or simply do not want to wait for lines to get a table and enjoy more time hours that we have rented the boat.

What is the APA ?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a standard term in yacht charters. It's an upfront payment made by the charterer to cover the yacht's expenses like fuel, food, mooring fees, and onboard services during the trip. The APA is typically around 30% of the yacht charter fee. The Shane's Captain manages this fund, tracks expenses, and provides a breakdown at the end. Any remaining funds are returned, or the charterer covers extra costs if the APA is exceeded. It simplifies expenses and ensures a smooth yacht charter experience for you.

Can I bring food or drinks ?

Yes of course, you can bring anything you'd like on board the yacht Shane. We can also organise whatever you need, just inform us.

How much fuel will I consume ?

If you share with us your itinerary for Shane, we will be delighted to calculate a close estimate for you. Please don't hesitate, we are all about making your yacht charter experience hassle-free and enjoyable!

What about crew gratuity ?

The crew gratuity is a customary tip given to the yacht's crew by the charterer as a token of appreciation for their excellent service. Typically calculated as a percentage of the charter fee, gratuity is a way for guests to acknowledge the crew's hard work, professionalism, and dedication throughout their yacht charter experience. The customary range for crew gratuity is around 10% of the total charter cost. The crew gratuity is not mandatory, it is totally at the charterer's discretion.

Upper level dining area with amazing views, spacious and luxurious cabins, fully equipped bathrooms, entertainment systems and led lighting throughout the boat, the inside areas and cabins of shane.

Living aboard a yacht is a dream come true, especially with SHANE. From the living spaces, over the cabins and their adjoining bathrooms to the entertainment systems, SHANE present itself top notch and up-to-date.

On the upper level we find a large living room, including a comfortable dining area as well as big couches where all people aboard can come together to have a drink or follow a sports event on the large sinkable TV. Over the dining and couch area, there is the large hardtop, that will open up to let the sun and the stars in. Obviously all internal areas are fully air-conditioned and equipped with independent but linkable sound-systems.

The master cabin holds a comfortable King-Size Bed, a working area with desk and storeroom for your files, including a safe. The double bathroom en-suite is fully equipped. There is also a couch and seaing area, as well as a dressing table with mirror, next to the walk-in wardrobe.

The VIP Cabin, with a Queen-Size Bed and en-suite bathroom also holds a couch and will make your most demanding friends, clients happy.

There also is a double cabin, also with bathroom en suite,  and sporting a regular double bed, opposed to the pullman cabin, which has two single ones, but also it´s own bathroom.

The lower level saloon also has an unfoldable couch, if more people want to stay aboard during the night.

M/Y SHANE (40 meters) was built in 2005 by Overmarine and refitted for the last time in 201 7, without forgetting of course the necessary works that are carried out every winter to keep the yacht in an exceptional mechanical and aesthetic condition (such as the carbon fiber stabilizers) . Her luxurious interior was designed by Luxury Projects and her exterior styling by the well-known Stefano Righini.

SHANE welcomes 11 people for cruises combining luxury and sportiness.

The interior layout is designed to accommodate up to 11 people in 5 cabins , including a master suite, 2 VIP cabins, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin.

SHANE has the capacity to accommodate up to 11 people overnight. On the lower deck, 4 luxurious double cabins are distributed, all ensuite, a lounge convertible into a cabin, and a guest bathroom. All cabins have new televisions, which have been updated during the latest renovations.

The master cabin is generously sized and centrally located on this mega yacht. It also has a King size bed of 2 x 2 m, a courtesy sofa, a dressing table, a bathroom and toilet and numerous spaces and cupboards.

Adjoining, generously sized VIP cabin is located at the bow of the yacht. It runs the full length of the yacht, allowing pleasant light to enter from both sides of the yacht and the location of the 2 x 1.6m Queen size bed. This superb cabin has a courtesy sofa, a dressing table and a fully equipped bathroom.

Twin cabins are located next to the VIP cabin and both have the same size and distribution, including a fully equipped bathroom. The only difference between them is that the double cabin has a double bed of 2 x 1.4m and the twin cabin has two single beds and a pullman bed, all of which are 2 x 0.9m . Note that on request, the twin cabin can be converted into a double cabin.

Regarding the saloon convertible into a double cabin, we would like to mention that it is a pleasant space designed to enjoy both the television and the office. The sofa converts to a 1.9 x 1.5m double bed and the sliding doors will provide privacy like in any other cabin.

The main deck features a splendid saloon with large windows, 360º views and a sliding roof that allows natural light to enter the room. The saloon was reformed in 2018, creating a particularly elegant atmosphere, it consists of a beautiful space with facing sofas on both sides, a table for guests and the control cabin.

On board – The rest of the team is truly dedicated and offers a level service maximum.

PERFORMANCE of the Mangusta 130

Distinctive mark of the builder, this Mangusta 130 SHANE adds a jet propulsion system which propels the yacht to a cruising speed of 18 knots and a maximum speed of 32 knots allowing it to move between places and islands in a short time and therefore visit as many sites as you want. In addition, in 2020 it has been integrated with a stabilization system made up of 4 carbon fiber fins, eliminating any movement both when sailing and at anchor.

SHANE EQUIPMENT and FACILITIES

The 2017, 2018 and 2020 refit incorporated exciting updates to SHANE’s equipment – both mechanically and in terms of entertainment for young and old – Worth mentioning are the new fin stabilizers in carbon fiber, new televisions throughout the yacht and surround sound system in saloon and outdoor area. This mega yacht also has a WiFi connection.

SHANE has a very wide range of toys , but as in many yachts not all of them can be stored on board, when organizing your rental we will take stock together of the toys you wish to have on board each day. – The others are stored in our premises in Marina Ibiza . It is worth mentioning two jet skis, a flyboard, inflatable water parks, SEABOBS and a luxurious Castoldi tender.

10 most interesting places in Yaroslavl Region (PHOTOS)

1. H istorical center of Yaroslavl

Church of Elijah the Prophet

Yaroslavl is located at the confluence of the Volga and Kotorosl rivers. This is the capital of the region (and the unofficial capital of the ‘Golden Ring’ tourist route) and a beautiful city with a thousand-year-long history; some of its landmarks are depicted on the 1,000-ruble bill.

The city is, at the same time, very modern – with bars and restaurants to satisfy every taste; that said, it is saturated with history and a rich cultural heritage. So, you can stay awhile and spend quite some time visiting attractions and churches… (don’t miss the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve and the 17th-century Church of Elijah the Prophet!). Even if you don’t like to go to museums, we still recommend you to visit the ‘Golden Ring’ show market, where you can see the main attractions of all the ‘Golden Ring’ cities in one room – well, a miniature version of them! It’s not simply static architecture in miniature, it’s an entire living world. Trains and cars move around, power stations are in operation, you can also hear church bells ring. Night comes every 10 minutes; lights spark up in the cities and in the windows of apartment blocks.

2. Pereslavl-Zalessky

The 12th century Transfiguration Cathedral and the monument to Alexander Nevsky

This is the first city of the region along the way for a tourist en route from Moscow to Yaroslavl. It’s also included in the ‘Golden Ring’. Pereslavl-Zalessky has one of the most ancient surviving churches of Russia – the 1152 (!) Transfiguration Cathedral. Almost every house here has a unique “museum” with its own theme, from vintage irons to gramophone records.

One of the most unusual ones hides in the forests not far from the city – the Pereslavl Railway Museum under the open sky. Examples of different locomotives and coaches since the beginning of the 20th century are collected there. You can also have a ride on a real draisine (a light auxiliary rail vehicle).

3. Lake Pleshcheyevo

Lake Pleshcheyevo and the Church of the Forty Martyrs

Pereslavl-Zalessky stands on the shore of quite a large body of water. This lake is famous for the fact that Peter the Great trained his amusement fleet there. A museum stands on the shore, where the small boat ‘Fortuna’ is exhibited, built by Peter the Great himself, according to legend.

Near Lake Pleshcheyevo lies an ancient artifact of pagan Russia – the sacred ‘Blue Stone’. This is a giant boulder (estimates say it weighs around 12 tons) that changes its color to blue after rain. The locals worshiped the stone in pre-Christian times, but even after accepting Christianity, the stone was attributed mystical properties (it was supposed that the stone possessed dark powers).

Pleshcheyevo is a paradise for eco-tourists; there are a lot of rare birds and animals that livee there, surrounded by a forest and picturesque places. You can stop at one of the recreation bases or pitch a tent and enjoy the view, ride a boat or SUP-boards. There’s also a kiteboarding school; also, during summer, hot air balloon festivals are often held.

4. The Rostov Kremlin

The next city along the way is Rostov Veliky (don’t mistake it for the southern Rostov-on-Don). Its main attraction is its unbelievably beautiful white-stone kremlin of. It was also captured in popular culture: many scenes of the iconic comedy movie ‘Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future’ were shot there.

The kremlin is not a defensive fortification like in other cities. It was built as the residence of Rostov metropolitan Jonas III in 1650-1680. The high walls with embrasures and lookout towers are more of a stylization and a tribute to architectural trends.

Inside, you should definitely enter the ancient Dormition Cathedral, admire the iconostasis and frescoes and take a stroll in its picturesque garden. Try pastries with kvass, medovukha or sbiten in the local refectory.

As a souvenir, you can get a decoration item with Rostov ‘finift’, an old local handicraft that originated in Byzantium, involves a technique known as ‘fire writing’.

5. Uglich – the city where history was made

This small town on a picturesque shore of the Volga River is famous across Russia. Not for its ancient churches or its nature, but as the place where Tsarevich Dmitry was killed, which ended the Rurikid dynasty and paved the way for the ‘Time of Troubles’.

The main attractions are concentrated in the kremlin, with a bunch of souvenir stores and a new embankment with trendy cafes.

Visit the chambers of Uglich princes of the 15th century, as well as the Church of Dmitry on Spilled Blood, built on the place where the tsarevich was killed – it has fantastic paintings inside.

6. The city of mice

Cruise ships cruising along the Volga River always stop in the city called Myshkin. It is, probably, the most lovely (and cutest) town in the entire region, a small center which has preserved the spirit of Russian antiquity.

‘Mysh’ is Russian for ‘Mouse’, so Myshkin literally means the ‘Mouse City’. Thanks to its name, the city made the mouse its mascot. And now mice (no, not the real ones!) are all over the place – there’s a special museum dedicated to mice, while there are souvenirs wherever you go: mice of the most diverse varieties!

It’s considered a blessing to buy a small clay mouse and put it in your wallet – the locals believe it will attract money. The square, where the Volga River liners dock, offers a dozen types of smoked fish. A marvelous view of the Volga River, meanwhile, opens from the bell tower of St. Nicholas’ Cathedral.

7. Rybinsk – a retro-style city

Rybinsk is yet another city on the shore of the Volga River. There, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of rich merchant life – the city was once a true trade center, which also dealt in fish. The Nobel Brothers Museum, who developed the oil industry in the city and on the Volga River, can also be found there.

It’s pure joy to have a stroll in Rybinsk, for, today, the main aspect of the city is that all the signs in the center are made in the retro merchant style. Even modern banks and stores attract visitors with their seemingly pre-revolution signs. Also, Rybinsk has a beautiful and very long embankment and even its own Red Square, which, despite the Lenin monument, is very reminiscent of a typical square somewhere in Europe.

8. The most beautiful village in Russia

The village of Vyatskoye

The village of Vyatskoye 40 kilometers from Yaroslavl is considered one of the most beautiful in Russia (at least, according to the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of Russia’ Association). In recent years, it has become a true Mecca for tourists. Its center was restored in the Art Nouveau style of the beginning of the 20th century, right down to stone pavements and vintage buildings.

There are museums to satisfy every taste (including the Museum of Russian Entrepreneurial Spirit), stores with souvenirs and local delicacies, sweets, and liqueurs, as well as a multitude of cafes.

9. Borisoglebsky Monastery

There’s an old and very important monastery between Rostov and Uglich. It was founded in 1363 by monks Fyodor and Pavel with the blessing of Sergius of Radonezh himself – who, according to legend, picked this place (he was born not far). The monastery had always been a district center; it was visited by tsars and a village gradually formed around it, after which fairs and trade markets began to be held. 

In Soviet times, religious services here stopped and a museum opened instead; but, today, the monastery is operational again. The impressive monastery walls and an imposing gate church speak of its former glory.

Resurrection Cathedral in Tutaev

This city received its name after the revolution; before, it was called Romanov-Borisoglebsk. It was known for its mineral oil factory, as well as for its linen and fur manufactures (in the 18th century, the breed of Romanov sheep was bred there).

To this day, you can only reach one part of the city from the other only by a ferry, so get ready to sail or pick only one side of the city for your visit. For example, the Borisoglebsk side, with the unbelievably magnificent 17th-century Resurrection Cathedral. Be sure to study the tiled belt and paintings on its facade; inside, you should definitely approach the cathedral’s relic – the unique three-meter-tall Borisoglebsky Savior icon, which is considered miraculous.
