Beneteau First 42

Price: User From 25,000 to 85,000 (Depending On Age and Condition)

This vessel was designed by German Frers in 1981. It doubles as a cruiser and a racer. This boat was undoubtedly designed by one of the best boat designers for one of the best brands in the industry. And, just as expected, it is of great quality. The Beneteau First 42 has a fiberglass hull and holds four berths. Its fuel tank can hold about 40 gallons of diesel, while its water tank holds 100 gallons of water. 

With a durable Perkins engine, this boat qualifies to be described as “old but gold.” It has a fin keel, a draft max of 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches), three cabins, and an overall length of 12.8m (42ft). One special feature of the Beneteau First 42 is that its cockpit is big enough to house eight people. It is a great boat if you are going to be at sea for a while.

Nautor’s Swan 43

Designed by Olin Stephen and built by Nautor’s Swan, the Nautor’s Swan 43 weighs 10,220 kg (22,530 lb). The boat was produced constructed between 1969 and 1972, with 67 boats constructed. It has a 7.2 feet draft. With a hull length of 42.8 feet and a waterline length of 31.0 ft, the Nautot’s Swan is a perfect cruiser. The Hunter 410 was first designed and built in 1990. It was designed by the Hunter Design Team and built by the Hunter Marine. This monohull, fiberglass boat weighs about 20,200 lb (9,163 kg). The Bavaria 38 Sailboat is perfect if you are looking to go on a boat cruise with your spouse. Its overall length is about 38 feet. Built-in 1997, the Bavaria 38 is relatively well known by yacht and sailboat enthusiasts. Its fuel tank and water tank can hold about 150 gallons and 300 liters, respectively.

There are manual and automatic bilge pumps. Starter and house batteries.

Full set of sails: mainsail with a lazy bag and genoa on a Furlex furler.

A new Beta Marine engine worth ~8K euros is installed on the boat! In fact, you are buying a new engine, and the boat is a gift 🙂

There is a spray hood and a cockpit tent that need to be repaired or replaced.

Partially dedicated toilet with sink. A new septic tank and a neck for pumping have been installed. This is a very important update that is required in many countries.

Maxi boats are always a good balance between inexpensiveness and comfort. The Maxi 84 is a great example.

The boat looks very well-maintained and clean, the interior is in good condition, it’s dry under the floors.

There is a galley with a sink with fresh water, an ice-box and a stove. A new diesel heater is installed.

The toilet with a sink is located in the space between the salon and the forward cabin and turns into a separate room if the doors are closed.

The sails look good: a staysail (was checked by professionals this year) on a furling and the older, but working mainsail with a cover. There is also a spinnaker with a spinnaker boom and a set of spare old sails of different sizes.

A reliable Volvo Penta MD7A engine is installed. Filters, oil and impeller were replaced in December. The engine starts and runs like clockwork.
