The "Full" Pool Shark Kit consists of everything you will need to build a competitive `race-ready' Footy, less radio gear, tools, adhesives and paint. The "Short" Kit does not contain sails or rigging. Both the "Short" and "Full" Kits contain many pre-fabricated parts to make assembly simple and fast. No power tools are required for assembly.
This is a set of plans and a couple pics for my Cobra (the prototype for my entry in the Liverpool Challenge in July, 2008.) It's a bit more complex than Razor, but a better performer, too. The plans are to be printed on 8-1/2 by 14 inch paper. The boat is 300 mm long when built to the plan.

Two servos are used, one to control the sail and one for the rudder. Some plans are availble for sale, some for free.
The foam core which replaces all internal formers and provides unsinkable bouyancy. This balsa side skins glued to the core. A 1/32" plywood bottom goes on next. Later in the build before the 1/32" plywood deck is glued in place. Mast tube step is visible here.

Fit the deck and glue in place. Install mast tube, again check alignment carefully. Use a large fillet of glue around mast tube base. Check the weight of the bulb, 200g (8 ounces), adjust if necessary. The lead ballast can now be fitted to the fin as shown. Cut out the rudder and glue in place the brass rudder stock.
