Western Mediterranean luxury charter yacht SAMURAI from Alia Yachts is sporting brand new interiors and has confirmed its attendance at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, running from the 25th – 28th of September.

Over 125 superyachts and mega yachts will be on display, of which 42 are new builds, and visitors will have over 580 exhibitors to select from for the latest water toys and tenders, luxury accessories and much more.
Since her launch in 2016, motor yacht SAMURAI has managed to avoid the spotlight and this will be the first time that she will be on display at a yacht show.

Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts ’ flagship vessel, the 197-foot superyacht Samurai, has been hiding in plain sight. The yacht may have officially launched three years ago, but its international boat-show debut is just around the corner—all 1,050 GT of it.
Styled by Dutch studio Omega Architects , the low-rise exterior profile features bold vertical windows, an elegantly arched superstructure and long aft overhangs to give it a sporty, powerful appeal.

The high-volume 1,050 GT interior is almost entirely housed inside the hull, which means oodles of guest and cabin space.
A luxurious and spacious beach club and gym with fold-down transom door and side platform occupy part of the lower deck, alongside a tender garage with room for two custom tenders of up to 23 feet.

Interior design comes from the boards of British studio Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD), where natural materials and neutral tones go hand-in-hand to create a sophisticated and welcoming environment akin to airy and light loft-apartment living.

The best views on board are reserved for the full-beam, forward-facing owner’s suite with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to sea.

The free-flow layout is carried through to the open-plan main saloon, and formal dining is provided for in the main-deck dining room—both also benefitting from full-height windows.

For warm summer evenings on board, however, guests can take dinner alfresco on the generous bridge-deck dining area.

Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L engines, Samurai ‘s naval architecture includes a patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Dutch firm Van Oossanen, providing a top speed of 21 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,250 nm at economical speed.

RWD took full advantage of her 1,029 GT volume to create accommodation for 12 guests on board. The design is light and bright, with pops of bold colours from soft furnishings. All five cabins are located on the main deck, which includes the 87.1-square-metre owner’s cabin with a lounge area and skylight. The master has also been finished with Asian-inspired motifs referencing Samurai’s name and offers panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The four guest suites are convertible between a double or twin configuration. If additional accommodation is needed, the study on the bridge deck can be converted into a double cabin with its own shower. Life on board SamuraiWhile she splits her seasons between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, Samurai and her crew have become something of a Swiss Army Knife of charter. Her sprawling outdoor spaces are perfect for soaking up the rays and enjoying the views with a cocktail in hand. She has a 7.7-square-metre sundeck complete with a hot tub and an impressive beach club with a folding balcony. Her crew, well accustomed to Caribbean cruising, have perfected the art of surprise, with mesmerising beach setups, barbeques with island chefs, bonfire nights and beach games. For those who want to keep up with their fitness regime while on charter, Samurai has a fully stocked gym with a treadmill, Peloton, free weights and more. SAMURAI Yacht for CharterSleek and elegant, the 197'1" (60.3m) SAMURAI is an inspired choice of superyacht for a luxury charter of the Mediterranean and Caribbean. She was launched in 2016 by the Turkish shipyard Alia Yacht, and the yard collaborated with Omega Architects for her exterior design and with British designer RWD for her interior. The result is an impressive motor yacht that was a finalist for The ShowBoats Design Awards 2017 (for the category of Best Naval Architecture—Displacement Motor Yacht). SAMURAI has a Jacuzzi, beach club and outdoor bar for ultimate relaxation in the sun. Also, a high-tech gym, and a selection of water toys for fun on the ocean. This includes Jet Skis, kayaks, SeaBobs, and paddleboards. Alternatively, guests can explore beneath the waterline with the snorkeling equipment, or mess around with the inflatable water toys. At the end of each captivating day, the guests retire to six elegant staterooms. These comprise a master, a VIP, three double cabins, and one convertible twin/double. The décor is tasteful and elegant, with neutral tones combining with dark woods to stylish effect. The yacht is powered by twin MTU engines, which give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a fast top speed of 21 knots. This means she can cover plenty of ocean as she delivers guests from one compelling destination to the next. The St. Petersburg Motor Classic Show is held in beautiful South Straub Park along the waterfront in downtown St. Petersburg. The show, in its 23nd year, is organized by the St Petersburg Yacht Club, with a dedicated show committee and volunteers from both Club members and interested members of the public. The show, which is free to the for spectators, is open to both Club Members and non-members, and features a carefully curated selection of 300+ vehicles from the 1880’s through today. There is something for every motoring taste, from antiques and classics through modern exotics, and even boats or motorcycles. There are 25 classes covering every era of motoring, each judged by a “People’s Choice” metric. Additionally, a Best of Show is awarded.
