We aim to bring you our unique blend of western business culture and a thoroughly local experience on both our own stunning gulet in Turkey, along with some other additions to the fleet and with our partners’ gulets in Montenegro and Croatia. Sailing holidays in Turkey, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia are a fantastic way to view the beautiful Mediterranean, Aegean and Adriatic coasts.   We are passionate about providing the perfect holiday for each of our guests. All of our packages are highly inclusive and fully customisable to meet your wishes. Our crew are handpicked for their skills and charm, and, with your own personal chef on board, you will receive 5-star food as well as carefully chosen local beers, wines and soft drinks.

Family holidays/group celebrations are our speciality. When you are sailing with Salamander Voyages the boat you choose will be yours and yours only for the week. WE DO NOT OFFER CHARTER BY THE CABIN so your gulet holiday will be the perfect, private experience no matter the occasion.   Our Turkish sailing boat Salamander hosts a maximum of 12 guests while other options can host parties of up to 22. (We also have a handful of other gulets to choose from). All gulets in our fleet have en-suite cabins and are extremely comfortable. Each vessel has a range of board games, playing cards, accessible Wi-Fi and the option of water sports such as paddle-boarding, canoeing and snorkelling.   We provide a truly all-inclusive experience with no surprise charges once we dock. Reconnecting as a family.

We really couldn’t fault it and had a very relaxing time reconnecting as a family.  We discussed possible routes with Captain Gurol and he definitely chose the right one for us being the Gulf of Gokova, lots of wonderful coves, clear water, able to find quiet spots, and not too much long distance motoring. Meeting up with the our friends worked perfectly and we enjoyed the water sports.  We also had an opportunity to sail. The crew were great, very professional and helpful and we couldn’t have asked for more.  Delicious food every day from the chef with plenty of variety, quite an achievement when at sea for a week.

The Bedia Sultan is really beautiful – the woodwork, attention to detail and the comfortable spaces. We loved it and it was always the best yacht in the ports. Mel and her team are amazing – nothing was too Koch trouble and they forethought everything we needed, great service and lovely personalities. The food was amazing – really delicious and varied, all of it was good. Hasan is a perfectionist, cool-headed but easy to work with when we wanted to change our itinerary he gave us the best advice and accommodated is so we had the best experience. The coastline is magnificent, crystal clear waters and gorgeous scenery. We fell in love with everything in Turkey and had the most wonderful week.

It was a beautiful vacation !! Mr. Hakan from the agency had everything perfectly organized! We were taken from the airport in a luxury vehicle to the harbor where the beautiful yacht lay. From here we have the unusually pleasant and nice crew spoiled. Despite some allergies and food intolerances among us in the group, the cook has managed to make us all really happy. Very, very delicious! So we spent a carefree time with water skiing, snorkeling, boating or just let your mind wander ….. just wonderful! Thank you! We can not think of anything!

A beautiful, older, but well-maintained gulet in wooden construction. The service on board. The route through beautiful nature and small picturesque villages was particularly fascinating on the island of Simi. Steward Bilal, was a unique tip.

The whole experience in general has been very rewarding. The crew of the boat is very efficient and friendly, with a special congratulation to the cook who has made us enjoy Turkish cuisine and have been aware of all our preferences. We also thank the company and the crew for the quick management they did when we needed medical attention for one of our friends. In general everything has been very much to our liking.

We liked the Göcek-Bodrum tour very much. All the bays that Captain Yüksel could take us to were wonderful. I cannot finish by telling about the excellent meals Chef Ali has made on the boat. I would like to thank the entire crew and agency manager Erkan for their interest. Hope to see you for the next vacation. VERY LIKED

The crew was awesome! Our chef made the most delicious meals from fresh food that we selected ourselves. Interacting with Mehmet, the main crew member looking after me and my husband, was hands down the best part of our trip. Mehmet ensured we always had what we needed in a discreet way and was always a step ahead of us. The captain was incredibly kind and walked us through the maps of all of the places that we would be visiting. He also made multiple suggestions for anchorage at locations that we hadn’t planned on visiting, which was brilliant. The sailor on the boat was also incredibly kind and was constantly ensuring my husband and I had what we need.

This time it was really luxury! The Gulet – Dreamland – was well equipped, the cabins generous, the bathrooms really offer space and were cleaned daily on the finest and tidy. The chef is in a class of its own, the kitchen was very varied, there were several fish in excellent quality! The Kaptan is extremely friendly and accommodating and very competent. For us, it was an unforgettable week in the beautiful Turkish coastline.

Loved the boat and the itinerary. Beautiful Gulf of Gocova! I think we would have liked more discussion about the itinerary before we started as we would have liked to go to a few more restaurants in the evening. However the places the captain chose to anchor in were gorgeous. Thought the food could be better. Although we kept telling the chef not to provide so much we kept getting far too much food! 

Scenery was stunning, the boat was comfortable, food was fabulous and the 3 crew were really great.

We had a wonderful trip! The experience was very positive from the beginning: Ender from the BlueTourTurkey agency was super quick and helpful, he answered all questions immediately and organized the trip in a very short time. Crew was also very attentive and even did more than work: Kapitaen Ismail shared his private wifi with us, Ahmed spoiled us with delicious and varied food, Oshahn even gave the child his own baseball cup. We had 3 people in our family who couldn’t swim and the crew looked after us perfectly by taking us from the yacht to the beach with dinghy every day. For each destination, we provide all the most popular itineraries/routes that are being followed. The first step is to go through the itinerary and determine your starting point. This usually covers check-in and check-out locations, and some of the highlights (islands, towns, nature parks, bays, locations), that you would prefer to visit. Second, the tailor-made route is refined to maximize each port of call. You can elect to stay longer in some places and omit others. Third, we customize your itinerary according to your group structure and preferences. What is the reservation process? Your first point of contact at Goolets will be with a Concierge Assistant /Yacht charter planner. This involves a full review and confirmation of all of your wishes. This information is collated, and then we confirm availability with the yacht owner. We then prepare the necessary paperwork including the charter contract which is signed three ways - by you (the charterer), by us (the broker), and by the yacht owner. Upon payment of a 50% deposit, the yacht booking is secured. Your wishlist is compiled and the planning for your trip commences - usually one or two months prior to departure. You will be sent a questionnaire where you will confirm the passenger names, your menu preferences, any food allergies, whether you need airport transfers booked, and so on. We communicate with the yacht’s crew and create a day-by-day itinerary. Final payments are made 4 weeks prior to departure, and all relevant travel documents and destination advice are issued. The crew is briefed on any last-minute requests. At check-in, our destination experts will arrange everything on the ground to ensure easy embarkation. We stay in contact throughout your holiday to ensure everything is going as planned. How does the charter agreement work? Once your chosen yacht has been confirmed, we will send you a standard MYBA or Goolets charter agreement that needs to be signed. If your chosen cruise route requires a different embarking or disembarking place other than the yacht's central harbor, delivery/redelivery fees may apply. What are the payment terms? After signing the MYBA or Goolets charter agreement, a deposit of 50% of the total charter cost is required. You can pay the fee via bank transfer or credit card (only Visa or MasterCard). The other 50%, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (if applicable), taxes, positioning fees and any previously agreed charges are payable via bank transfer eight (8) weeks before departure. Any previously agreed charges need to be settled via bank transfer six (6) weeks before departure. How are the charter rates calculated? Charter rates are estimated weekly. If a charter exceeds seven days, they are calculated pro-rata against the weekly rate divided by seven and multiplied by the number of charter days. Keep in mind that some yachts are only chartered on a weekly (Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday) basis, especially during the high season. High and low season rates vary depending on charter locations and types of yachts. The high rates apply to the most popular charter periods (July/August and Christmas/New Year), and to all major events. Low season rates apply to all other periods. The charter rates on our website are up to date but may be subject to change. What are the actual operating expenses? Once you made the final payment of the charter, you pay the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Under MYBA terms, this fee is usually between 30% - 40% of the total charter cost. This covers the operating expenses of a charter (explained under Charter Terms), such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees, and ad hoc incidentals. The APA is given to the captain before the start of your charter. Some yachts and gulets also offer food/drinks packages which are normally paid in cash during embarkation, while the port taxes are paid during embarkation according to the costs presented by the captain. The Captain ensures that the yacht is fully fuelled and stocked when you step on board. While an up-to-date summary of accounts can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will normally be submitted by your captain at the end of the cruise. In case of surpassing the amount of money already paid during your yacht charter (with the APA), additional funds (in cash) will be required at once. If there is an outstanding balance from the yacht charter, it should be settled in cash or by bank transfer before you disembark. In case of a remaining credit at the end of your charter, you will be fully reimbursed. If a transfer by car to and from the yacht is required, it can be arranged either by the charter company or by the yacht’s captain, payment for which will be deducted from your APA. Should I get any insurance? In case of unforeseen circumstances that might prevent the charter, we highly recommend taking out the Cancellation and Curtailment Insurance to protect the investment. Besides that, the guests should be covered by Personal Accident and Medical Insurance, and their belongings are insured against theft, loss, or damage. Charterers’ Liability insurance is also highly recommended. Contact your broker for further assistance and additional advice regarding the insurance. Do any other taxes apply? For charters in European waters, Value Added Tax and delivery costs may be charged on the gross Charter Fee, due to the European Union tax legislation. In other countries, local taxes may also apply. Even though tips are not mandatory, the guests normally extend a gratuity to the devoted crew. The amount depends on the guest's satisfaction, but it is approximately 10% of the charter fee.
