“Zephyr represents a harmonious balance of bold creativity and enduring style, making it a standout in any era,” Dörries Yachts CEO Henning Dörries told Robb Report via email.

“The final design is not only stunning but also boasts a timeless appeal with modern surfacing and meticulous detailing,” added H2 owner Jonny Horsfield. “Featuring expansive glass and spacious outdoor decks, Zephyr epitomizes the contemporary preferences of today’s discerning clientele.”

The interior is sure to be gargantuan, though Dörries has yet to specify the gross tonnage. The German shipyard also didn’t share any details regarding the layout of the living quarters, but pictures of the exterior show that Zephyr will certainly not be short on luxury amenities.

Starting at the top, the sundeck is adorned with a plunge pool and sun pads forward and a large circular lounge aft. Alfresco dining areas big enough for 12 and more plush lounges grace the next two decks, while an inviting Jacuzzi occupies pride of place in the bow. The bow is so long it can also accommodate a helicopter that can be used for comings and goings. The owner’s suite will likely have private access to the bow area, as is customary with many high-end cruisers.

Dörries Yachts has unveiled some pretty extraordinary megayachts and explorers over the past few years, but Zephyr is perhaps one of the most divine designs. The best part? The megyacht is up for sale. More details will be announced at the Monaco Yacht Show in late September, with a full sales brochure also available to interested buyers.

Perhaps the most comfortable ship offering public sightseeing tours, the Statue of Liberty Express aboard the Zephyr Yacht offers a great one-hour tour of the New York Harbor . The Zephyr Yacht features comfortable seating both inside and out and a knowledgeable tour guide provides live commentary throughout the cruise. You'll also get a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty during the tour.

About Circle Line Downtown's Zephyr Yacht Harbor Cruise

Riding aboard the Zephyr Yacht is a great way to enjoy the New York Harbor, as well as to learn about New York City and get a sense of the City's geography and layout. The one-hour tour travels southwest from South Street Seaport to the World Financial Center and back, passing underneath the Brooklyn Bridge before returning to the Pier.

A live tour guide narrates throughout much of the tour through the ship's PA system, pointing out various attractions and landmarks, sharing New York City's rich history and even offering to give visitors tips and answer questions once the tour is complete. The Zephyr holds up to 600 passengers, has indoor and outdoor decks, two snack and beverage bars, very clean ​bathrooms and comfortable, plush seating. The Statue of Liberty Express sightseeing cruise is probably the best of the many one-hour cruises around Manhattan.

Helpful Tips for Circle Line Downtown's Zephyr Yacht Harbor Cruise

• Snacks and drinks (including a full bar) are available for sale on the boat.
• Well maintained bathrooms are located on the main floor of the Zephyr.
• Pictures are best taken from the upper decks, but you can best hear the narration from inside.
• Bring a sweater or jacket along for the ride. Even when the weather is warm, it will be breezy on deck and the air conditioning inside can make you chilly too.
• Don't forget your sunblock -- the breeze can make you feel deceivingly cool, but you can still get burned.

Chris Griswold

From a young age, Capt Chris loved boating on lakes and the Atlantic off the coast of Maine, where he grew up. Chris moved to sunny South Florida to not only get away from the brutal winters but mostly for his love of the water. He started out freelancing on yacht deliveries as a first mate and engineer for Ocean Alexander Yachts. He quickly decided that he wanted to pursue his captain’s license, going to Chapman’s School of Seamanship, where he obtained his 100-ton Captain’s License along with a towing endorsement and STCW-95. He then upgraded his license to 200-tons. His first captain’s gig was an 87’ Broward traveling from Chicago, IL down through the Mighty Mississippi, continuing to the Florida Keys and navigating twenty-nine locks to end up in Boca Raton, FL where the boat berthed for the winter. He has traveled the entire east coast of the United States from Bar Harbor, ME to the Florida Keys including all of the ICW along with the Dismal Swamp. He has also traveled the entire Okeechobee Waterway to the Gulf of Mexico into to Galveston, TX but his most passionate travels are the ones throughout the Bahamas. Currently, he is the full time Captain on a beautiful 100’ Ocean Alexander and really enjoys showing the owner and guests a wonderful and memorable experience. In his free time, he enjoys hunting alligators, fishing, snorkeling, diving (certified nitrox), grilling and riding his Harley.

Saide Warner

Saide grew up in Maine hiking, snowmobiling, ice fishing and snowboarding. Her love of the water started early as she lived near a lake where she and her friends would boat and swim during the short summertime. She moved to Florida in her early twenties to pursue a new career path not knowing that it would lead her to Capt Chris and thus marrying the love of her life. Joining him in the yachting industry, she got her first job on an 87’ Broward traveling from Chicago, IL to Boca Raton, FL. After her first trip, she made up her mind- being on the water is what she really wanted to do. This first yacht trip took her down through the middle of the country on the rivers including the Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and the Mississippi rivers to the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys, navigating 29 locks to end up in Boca Raton, FL where the boat berthed for the winter. She has traveled the entire east coast of the United States from Bar Harbor, ME to the Florida Keys including all of the ICW along with the entire Okeechobee Waterway into the Gulf of Mexico traveling to Galveston, TX. Although Saide enjoyed all her travels throughout the US, she feels drawn to the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas. She went to the Chapman’s School of Seamanship and got her STCW-95 and is currently the Mate on a 100’ Ocean Alexander. Saide enjoys fishing, spearfishing, snorkeling, painting and especially cooking.

Ryan Darlay

Ryan is a true Floridian. He spent his entire life in Florida enjoying all things boating and all of what Florida has to offer. His passion for the water and yachting has led him the Florida Keys to New England multiple times and all-over South Florida. Ryan has spent the last fourteen years on multiple yachts doing what he loves best, showing the owners and guests an unforgettable time and while enjoying all the water toys, fishing, spearfishing, and snorkeling. Ryan plans on continuing his work on boats, with the hopes of one day obtaining his Captain’s license. His dream is running his own yacht. In his free time, you can find him spending time with his family, mountain biking, hunting, camping and riding his Harley.

Shawn Kaplan

Chef Shawn is an international traveled culinarian. His travels include Italy, France, Canada, and Napa Valley. Shawn’s origins begin in Florida but eventually he made the move to Northeastern USA. He brings passion and diversity to the table. He is a chef who has opened restaurants, worked in catering, and cooked for the dignitary and elite. His influences range from Asian to Mediterranean. Shawn believes in food that is both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. The experience of eating should reverberate with emotion and memories, tapping into pathways of pleasure!
