The Sunreef 80, the flagship of the Sunreef eco-friendly sailing catamarans, combines superyacht-like interior volume, intelligently designed living spaces, reliable sailing performance, as well as the latest in environmentally-friendly technology. With Sunreef's electric propulsion option and proprietary solar power system, luxury cruising has never been quieter or vibration-free.

The first Sunreef 80 launched, the 7X Split, is easily spotted from afar thanks to her graphite-colored hull that is striking in appearance. She sports a spacious 4-cabin layout, including a spectacular master stateroom, occupying most of the starboard hull along with the guest cabin. With a deliberately dim color scheme, the master suite features a massive bed, a desk, a sofa, and a dressing room hidden behind a custom-designed decorative partition. The salon is tremendous, offering stunning views, incredible space rarely ever seen on a yacht of this length, and the finest contemporary decor.

Thanks to Sunreef Yachts’ proprietary solar power system, the Sunreef 80 Eco can generate up to 32kWp. Covering a total area of 164m² solar panels can be integrated with various composite structures of the yacht including the mast, boom, superstructure and hull sides. The luxury catamaran is fitted with a state of the art, ultralight battery bank (30% lighter than the average batteries used in the nautical industry) with a density of less than 6kg / kWh for increased weight-efficiency and performance.

About Sunreef 80 Sail

The Sunreef 80 Sail is one of the most popular model ever launched by the Polish shipyard. The high quality catamarans are some of the finest to cruise the world, ideal to island hop in the Caribbean or explore South East Asia. The yachts feature a large uncluttered main salon on the main deck, with options to have the galley located in one of the two hulls, ideally located forward of the crew quarters. The flybridge offers ample sunbathing space and can be fitted with a hot tub. 

The Sunreef 80 is a versatile sailing yacht that is excellent for special getaways, charters, and transoceanic excursions. This model features outdoor and internal spaces that flow seamlessly into one another. The innovative bridge deck and superstructure design allows for a greater level of comfort onboard, while the abundant use of teak, high bulwarks, and elegant lines give her a modern appearance with a traditional edge.

With an entirely new superstructure design, the Sunreef 80 has a saloon layout with exceptional customizing flexibility. It is a large, central lounging area with a panoramic view and limitless layout options that extends to both the bow terrace and cockpit.

The bow features a comfortable couch that is well protected from the sun and wind. Aft, the saloon joins with the cockpit, which is enlarged by a huge aft platform. The combination of these sectors creates a global, unrestricted atmosphere where flexibility and freedom prevail.

In addition to housing the main helm, the 54m2 flybridge is dedicated to leisure with ample space for movable furnishings, a Jacuzzi, fully-equipped wet bar, and big sunpads.

The hulls provide ample space for an unique layout that includes airy, sumptuous guest cabins and an exquisite master suite with a walk-in closet, workstation, sofa, retractable television, and an enormous bathroom. The ideal place to unwind and unwind after a long day in the sun.

Third new build Sunreef 43M Eco catamaran sold to repeat client

Polish catamaran specialist Sunreef Yachts has announced that it has sold a third 43M Eco at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival . The buyer is a repeat client who previously owned a 24.4-metre Sunreef 80 Power.

"We're very proud to have a client go fully eco," said Sunreef CTO and co-founder Nicolas Lapp. "And we are already talking with other customers [about the 43M Eco]. The interest in sustainable yachting is growing. This is the direction that we wanted to go in, so we're happy to see the market agrees."

The first unit was sold in late 2022 and will be the world's largest electric catamaran once delivered.

The hull, superstructure and rigging of the vessel is designed with integrated solar panels that supply the yacht with 250kWh of energy in a 24-hour period. An advanced hydro-generation system will also produce "clean power" for emission-free cruising and "infinite range", according to the shipyard. 

Accommodation is for 12 guests, including a master cabin with a private office and direct access to a lounge space at the bow.

Leisure highlights include an "ocean lounge" that connects the aft deck to the swim platform, creating a single space for waterside lounging. This area is heavily customisable, with clients able to instal a massage room, a bar or a fitness area. An invisible aft garage is also nearby for tender and toy storage.

A second sun lounging option can be found up on the flybridge, arranged with a spa pool, sunpads, a bar and dining area and an outdoor cinema.

This follows the reveal of a smaller entry in the shipyard's sailing catamaran series, the 35M Eco.

Francis Lapp, Founder and CEO of Sunreef Yachts successfully raised an army of over 3000 employees across the world in 22 years of service. The shipyard in Gdansk launched its first ever 74-feet luxury catamaran with a flybridge in 2002. Recently, in 2023, Former USA National and World Offshore Powerboat Champion, Tim Ciasulli , commissioned the first-ever US-sold Sunreef 88 ULTIMA. Reviewing Sunreef Yachts’ catamarans after years’ worth of experience, the record holder of four world speed records stated, “Who else builds a yacht that has almost 400 square meters of living area where you can cruise responsibly, economically, and sustainably on solar powered electric motors and go 35 MPH on traditional engines when you need to? I’m thrilled to be a part of this game-changing exciting project where I can have both speed and sustainability on a huge platform!”
