Where do I begin!... YCSH hosted a wedding that was better than what we imagined. The venue made all the difference on our ... special day. Taylor was an absolute DREAM to work with. When you book YCSH, you are booking an experienced team, who isincredibly accommodating and anticipates your every want and need. Their amazing hospitality left me speechless. Leading up tothe day, Taylor, our coordinator, responded to every email in a timely manner, made the most perfect suggestions, and alwaysanswered our questions with a positive and upbeat attitude. Taylor kept up with every email thread and noted every detail wespoke about (even details we discussed over a year out.) Impressed does not even begin to describe how I felt! Taylor made ourexperience impeccable. We are beyond grateful and owe her all of our thanks for making the day so special! Emma, the day-ofco-coordinator, was also fantastic! Her and Taylor were beyond kind and made us feel like we were a part of the community eachtime we visited the venue. Emma, along with the staff on the day of, was extremely detail-oriented and attentive to all of ourguests. The bartenders remembered everyone's drink orders...everyone's! In this Covidpandemic, I think, we as consumers, will need to evaluate the price of quality that we're getting for service or product toreally effectively evaluate and determine if it's worth the price. But sometimes we're stuck, with our back's against the wall,and we may not tend to try to drive forward to possibly negotiate for a bargain, if possible. It really comes down to whether ornot you have the cash to afford that purchase, and whether or not you feel, it real is a value for the money you are dishingout. Located within Jersey City’s Newport community, Battello is beautiful for weekend brunch but you get the best payoff if you dine during sunset. This elevated restaurant boasts excellent vistas of the Hudson waterfront, in addition to a contemporary menu that merges Italian flavors with seafood. If you can’t score seats on the patio, retractable glass walls in the dining room make you feel like you’re still eating al fresco.

Blue Eyes – Hoboken, NJ

Also overlooking the Hudson, this Italian spot sets the stage for a relaxing waterfront meal. Blue Eyes is best known for its brick-oven dishes and Napoletana pizza. The restaurant’s name takes after Hoboken’s Frank Sinatra—as if it wasn’t obvious. During the spring and summer months, Blue Eyes’ outdoor dining setup on Sinatra Dr. is not one to miss. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Chart House – Weehawken, NJ

If you’re trying to eat outside and near the water in Weehawken, the answer is almost always Chart House . This upscale restaurant sits on Lincoln Harbor Pier and overlooks the New York City skyline. Enjoy unspoiled Manhattan views on the outdoor patio or through floor-to-ceiling windows. Discerning diners shouldn’t skip happy hour here. De Novo – Edgewater, NJ

This European pub-inspired restaurant stands out with its unobstructed views of the New York City skyline and George Washington Bridge. If it’s available, De Novo’s outdoor seating should be your go-to. However, the indoor dining room provides just as breathtaking waterfront views in addition to a light and airy atmosphere.

Haven – Edgewater, NJ

Back in 2016, Haven in Edgewater was named as one of “The World’s Most Spectacular Waterfront Restaurants” by Architectural Digest. With that type of street cred, it’s no wonder they made our list of the best waterfront restaurants in New Jersey. Haven specializes in modern New American cuisine. Stop by for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or weekend brunch with the option of a prix fixe menu.

Hudson & Co – Jersey City, NJ

First and foremost, you visit Hudson & Co. for the views. The 12,000-square-foot space is a hard-to-miss dining destination in Jersey City’s Harborside. The 4,000-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooks NYC and lures visitors in droves to this nautical gastropub. All of that, thankfully, is backed by great cocktails and a seafood-heavy menu.

Lokal – Jersey City, NJ

Unbeatable views of the Manhattan skyline, a solid menu with global small plates and chill vibes are three reasons to beeline it to Lokal . Oh, and don’t forget about the dreamy craft cocktails. This waterfront spot is perfect for happy hour or late-night bites and has also secured itself as a special occasion destination. The interior has a warm, industrial feel to it with expansive windows that let you look out over the Hudson.

Maritime Parc – Jersey City, NJ

If you’re fortunate enough to visit Maritime Parc during patio season, you’ll have access to split-level waterfront views of the Hudson. From inside the dining room, each table will still encounter equally as impressive sites, minus the sea breeze. The menu here ​​takes cues from its Liberty Landing Marina location with a heavy emphasis on coastal cuisine. 

McLoone’s Boathouse – West Orange, NJ

McLoone’s Boathouse does reservoir views like no other. This waterside destination in West Orange is the perfect switcheroo if you’ve had your fill of selfies with a skyline backdrop. It’s situated within the South Mountain Recreation Complex, overlooking the South Reservoir. On the outdoor stone patio, there’s seating for up to 100 guests. Their Sunday buffet brunch is a popular one amongst locals. It’s $35 for adults and $17 for children ages three to 11.

Molos – Weehawken, NJ

If you’re in the mood for Greek-inspired eats, it’s probably best that you indulge right on the water. In New Jersey, that means getting a table at Molos restaurant so that you can at least pretend your waterfront views are of the Mediterranean Sea. Here, expect contemporary seafood dishes, a local fish market and Greek specialties. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a bright, chic atmosphere and panoramic vistas of Manhattan.

Pier 115 – Edgewater, NJ

Drift away along the west bank of the Hudson River with all the comforts of land at Pier 115 . A modern, American gastropub, this restaurant offers magnificent waterfront views for both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can enjoy an expansive 115 beers on tap while gazing over at the New York City skyline. And, if you’re dressing to impress, the venue enforces a dress code after 5 p.m., letting guests enjoy food with flair.  

Son Cubano – West New York, NJ

Travel back to the glamor and fun of 1950s Cuba through the elegant ambiance of Son Cubano’s restaurant. With cultural influences from Cuban cuisine and decor, guests can dine along the Hudson River and feel like a true Hollywood celebrity. The stylish supper club also offers live music, adding rhythm to your reservation. At night, the views add an extra edge to your dining as the New York City skyline illuminates the venue. 

Surf City – Jersey City, NJ

If you’re searching for a dose of tropical vacation vibes, Surf City’s waterfront bar is the perfect destination. Overlooking Manhattan and Liberty Island, this restaurant lets its patrons coast through the summer with “Key West attitude and New York latitude.” Sip exotic cocktails at community tables, recline under the palm trees, or cast your eyes to wind sails over the harbor.

The Windlass –  Lake Hopatcong, NJ

If arriving by car was getting old, drop your anchor at The Windlass restaurant located on Lake Hopatcong. Accepting cars in their parking lot and boats at their docks, this historic venue gives guests a variety of transportation options. And, the seating availability is just as diverse. Guests can enjoy Lake Hopatcong’s views from inside the building, outside on the patio, or along the dock’s outdoor gliders.

The Yacht Club – Edgewater, NJ

Positioned along the Hudson River, the Yacht Club is dedicated to providing guests with seasonal surf ‘n’ turf fare in a home away from home atmosphere. A central icon to their restaurant is their specified oyster bar which offers patrons a fresh taste of the sea alongside chilled, refreshing drinks. With two stories and an outdoor patio, dive into their red snapper or whole red lobster over the crisp, blue views of the Hudson.

Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille – Cape May, NJ

Klein’s Fish Market & Waterside Cafe – Belmar, NJ

Sitting on Shark River in Belmar, NJ is Klein’s Fish Market & Waterside Cafe . The eatery serves up local, fresh seafood, while patrons take in scenic views from the riverside deck. Aside from the seaside tables, Klein’s also has a full Tiki Bar mixing up cocktails from beach classics such as Pina Coladas and strawberry daiquiris to 32-ounce rum buckets. One Willow – Highlands, NJ

One Willow in the Highlands has a lovely outdoor dining space with unparalleled views. The polished pier features umbrella-covered tables nestled between palm trees. Diners can take in views of Sandy Hook Bay and the New York City skyline all under strings of globe lights. Choose from a wide selection of seafood such as Atlantic fresh tuna and their full raw bar selection offering East Coast oysters, clams and shrimp. Parker’s Garage & Oyster Saloon – Beach Haven, NJ

Red’s Lobster Pot – Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

As one of the few year-round clubs on Barnegat Bay, TRYC is open and busy 12 months a year.     Comprised of world-class sailors, weekend boaters, swimmers and pool loungers, event lovers, and those who simply revel in its beautiful setting, the club is a melting pot of ages, interests, and professions. The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant is a picturesque and charming venue that can accommodate up to 120 guests for any wedding, banquet or special event.

The Grenville Hotel at 345 Main Avenue is a Grande Dame of summer hotels from the late Nineteenth Century on Barnegat Island, and is one of the true historic Jersey Shore hotels. Situated on land purchased by Anna Nunemaker for $400 in 1886, the hotel dates back to 1890, and was built by Wycoff Applegate, builder of the Bay Head Yacht Club.

The Grenville Restaurant is a classic American Restaurant in a relaxing setting. Our menu includes a huge selection of favorite appetizers, burgers, steaks, & seafood; all full of robust flavors and fresh local ingredients.

A pop-up that combines food and fun, and — most refreshingly — doesn’t take itself too seriously, has found a permanent place to land in an unincorporated desert community about an hour’s drive from downtown San Diego in southeastern San Diego County.

Founded by San Diego-born artist Max Daily, Oslo Sardine Bar was inspired by Daily’s grandmother, who once worked in a tuna cannery. Bringing together people, performance art, and tinned seafood sourced from all over the globe, the pop-up was first launched at Bread & Salt in Logan Heights.

As its popularity increased, Daily — who studied puppeteering and whose day job is doing set decorating and props for the Walt Disney Company — toured around the country with Oslo Sardine Bar, eventually establishing a weekly residency in Seaport Village before shifting to deliver pre-ordered boxes of tinned fish during the pandemic.

More recently, Oslo Sardine Bar has been popping up at Mabel’s Gone Fishing and Bread & Salt, sometimes with longtime collaborators, the sea shanty-singing Barnacle Boys , or his customized claw machine which dispenses artist print sardine boxes.

A trained butcher who waited tables for 15 years at South Park stalwart Big Kitchen Cafe, Daily has been invited by the new proprietors of the Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel to set up shop in one of their other buildings in town. The former library will now be called the Jacumba Yacht Club, which Daily says he’s envisioning as a slice of Americana that harkens back to the roadside attractions of yesteryear.

Building it himself with furnishings that include old tables from Golden Horseshoe Restaurant in Disneyland’s Frontierland, the space will have a sardine bar serving tins and possibly wine and beer and an adjacent theater area filled with art and animatronics that will host performances of Daily’s sea monkey circus. Daily tells Eater that he hopes to have some version of Jacumba Yacht Club up and running in the next few months, and says that he plans to continue his pop-ups in central San Diego.
