EXTERIOR A fabulous Westport yacht showcasing the best features from this well-established shipyard, motor yacht EDEN offers guests an expansive sun deck, sheltered aft deck and cosy seating area on the foredeck.

The split-level sun deck features a large lounge area to aft with two additional corner seating/sunbathing spots amidships. Up a few steps is the covered upper level where a dining setting is adjacent to a sit up bar, BBQ and helm controls.

The aft deck offers an elegant, sheltered dining setting with a curved bench seat, flexible dining table and a selection of moveable chairs. Spiral stairs to starboard lead up to the sun deck and curved steps on either side lead down to the large swim platform.

The bow offers a cosy circular seating area.

EDEN Specifications

INTERIOR The classic and elegant interior is characterised by wood panelling, large windows and neutral furnishings and upholstery. The main salon is configured with a lounge aft, featuring a collection of sofas and occasional chairs, plus coffee tables and a dining setting forward. The galley is further forward and includes a sit up bench and dining-banquette, perfect for families.

The guest suites are on the lower deck.

Description

Winner of the "REVELATION OF THE YEAR" award at the famous World Yachts Trophies in Cannes in 2019, the MAIORA 30 WALKAROUND has an overall length of 30.50 metres but is still registered as a boat within 24 metres. The innovative "walk-around" solution connects everything on a single level from the flybridge to the bow without stairs. With an impressive beam of 7.5m, visibly increased internal volumes are highlighted by large windows that allow in much more natural light and a complete and wide view of the outside.

EDEN is the number 4 in the MAIORA 30 WALKAROUND series and brings innovative new features such as an enlarged master cabin and a transversal garage for a 5.4m tender with outboard engine, allowing to benefit of an aft beach club. She is the only MAIORA 30 with a 5 cabins layout available for charter, offering a master suite on the main deck and 2 VIP and 2 convertible cabins on the lower deck.

Particular attention has been made to the interior design that combines flamed oak flooring with American walnut walls with touches of smoked oak, leather and lacquered panels, designed loose furniture from Poltrona Frau and Cassini and latest A/V technologies including a multi-zones Yahama MusicCast system. The main deck saloon is arranged with a dining table on the aft that provides an in/out dining area thanks to the fully opening sliding doors, and a saloon area with a 85' TV that can be seen as well from the dining area and the aft deck.

On the outside, EDEN features an aft deck saloon with bar and access to the large swimming platform fitted with shower, swimming ladder and built-in sofas, while the flybridge fitted with a pop-up TV offers a dining area, a bar area, a saloon area, a Jacuzzi surrounded by sun loungers plus the connected large front deck fitted with seating and lounging, removable awning and outdoor cinema.

MYBA Terms: The Charter Fee includes the charter of the yacht with all its equipment in working order, tools, stores, cleaning material and basic consumable stores for engine-room, deck and cabins, etc., the crew’s wages, food and the insurance of the yacht for marine risk and third party claims and the crew for employer’s liability insurance. The Charterer will be charged extra, at cost to the yacht, for all other expenses. These include fuel for the yacht, fuel for the ski-boats or other tenders, food for the charterers, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks for the Charterers, other consumable stores, berthing dues and other harbour charges away from the yacht’s own berth, including pilotage fees and charges for water and/or electricity taken from the shore, laundry, telephone, fax or telex via Satcom, Radio Telephone or telex costs, hire costs of special equipment placed on board at the request of the Charterer and crew gratuities. Hello Tamara, I wanted to send you an email now that we are back from our holiday in Ecuador. We had a great time on the Eden boat travelling around the Galápagos. The boat was spacious and comfortable. We were very happy with our cabin (#9). Luis Andrada the guide was great, very enthusiastic and knowledgable. All the boat crew were brilliant. They were always in a cheerful mood, eager to help if you had any query. We especially enjoyed the food that chef Walter produced for each meal. We haven't travelled on a small boat before so weren't sure how the food would be, what could be provided on a small boat. But the chef continued to amaze us all week. Every meal was delicious and well thought out. There was also plenty of food for everyone and a good variety of items with plenty of vegetables. The daily schedule, timings and trips were well planned out, organised, crew knew how to do everything so our time was maximised. Hola Veronica. We were in Mexico until February 21 and I was unable to reply. Then I forgot when we arrived home! The trip to and around the Galapagos was amazing and everything we expected and more. Our naturalist, Ruben, was an excellent guide and the crew were all so kind and helpful. We liked that we were kept busy everyday with a variety of activities. The food was great and we were amazed at what the cook produced in the tiny galley. Alcohol was expensive - very expensive and lacked choice. The only real complaint was the coffee - quite undrinkable. Instant would have been much better - but that is just my opinion as I am very particular about my coffee. I would recommend that passengers take some of their own and/or some decent packets of tea. We have been recommending the 1 week trip to everyone, the week is long enough but not too long and with just the right amount of activity and variety. Thanks Sheila Anderson January 2018 3.1

DEPOSITS & BOOKING

At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due per person per Tour. If the booking is made 90 days or less prior to departure, full payment is due at the time of booking. For bookings placed in avanced, final deposit is due 90 days prior to departure. 

CANCELLATION POLICIES

You may cancel your booking by notifying us via email. Cancellation fees, if any, will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled Tour, product or service.

• (a) Cancellation received 91 days or more before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: Lifetime Deposit will be held in accordance with these Terms.  
• (b) Cancellation received 60-90 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: Lifetime Deposit will be held in accordance with these Terms, an amount equal to 50% of the remainder of the payments made in respect of the cancelled Tour will be refunded.  
• (c) Cancellation less than 59 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking: Lifetime Deposit will be held by the Tour Operator in accordance with these Terms, and no further refund will be payable.

We understand these are uncertain times and want to make sure you feel confident about your options if your plans change.

Credit for Future Tours

If you’re uncertain about when you’ll be able to travel in the future, you can convert your existing payments to credit. This way you won’t lose any of your money to potential cancellation fees. Clarence Thomas accepted a free yacht trip to Russia and got flown out on a complimentary helicopter ride to Putin's hometown, 2 Democratic senators say

• Democratic senators have accused Justice Clarence Thomas of accepting undisclosed gifts and trips.
• They say he accepted gifts such as a yacht trip to Russia and a chopper ride to Vladimir Putin's hometown.
• The senators want an investigation into potential tax fraud and ties between Thomas and Harlan Crow.

Two Democratic senators have accused Justice Clarence Thomas of accepting a free trip to Russian President Vladimir Putin's hometown.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island and Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon filed a letter to US Attorney General Merrick Garland on July 3, asking to open an investigation into the Supreme Court judge.

The letter said there was a "serious possibility of tax fraud" and accused Thomas of having "secretly accepted gifts and income potentially worth millions of dollars."

The letter's appendix , which lists 35 undisclosed gifts, shows a "yacht trip to Russia and the Baltics" and a "helicopter ride to Yusupov Palace, St. Petersburg," both listed under the year 2003.

St. Petersburg, Russia, is Putin's birthplace and where he grew up. The president now resides in Moscow.

The appendix list is titled "Likely Undisclosed Gifts and Income from Harlan Crow and Affiliated Companies." Harlan Crow is a real-estate developer and the former chairman and CEO of the Trammell Crow Company.

The senators cited a ProPublica report from May last year detailing Thomas' hushed-up financial ties to Crow.

The report said that apart from the Russia trip, Crow also funded Thomas' grandnephew Mark Martin 's boarding-school fees, which cost "more than $6,000 a month."

In their letter, the senators wrote that other gifts from Crow included "multiple instances of free private jet travel, yacht travel, and lodging," as well as "gifts of tuition for Justice Thomas's grandnephew," "real estate transactions," "home renovations," and "free rent for Justice Thomas's mother."

In September, Thomas said he'd accepted three trips on a private plane owned by Crow . He didn't mention any other gifts.

Whitehouse and Wyden aren't the only Democrats who've voiced concerns over Thomas' sketchy financial ties.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez of New York filed articles of impeachment against Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito on Wednesday.

"Justice Thomas and Alito's repeated failure over decades to disclose that they received millions of dollars in gifts from individuals with business before the court is explicitly against the law," her statement reads.

Representatives for Thomas, Whitehouse, Wyden and Crow didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from Business Insider sent outside regular business hours.
