The BLUE COAST 88 is a four-deck sloop-rigged catamaran currently under construction and completely customizable.

This stunning 88-foot catamaran is born from the drawing board of the famous Naval Architect Jean Jacques Coste and is far more than just an idea on paper. The aluminum hull is already finished to a high standard and was overseen by Beureau Veritas. A skilled team of workers is ready to finish her to the tastes and wishes of her owner. Thanks to built-in recyclable Sealium aluminum, the BLUE COAST 88 is eco-friendly and shows very low emissions; her power consumption is less than 40 percent that of a monohull in the same size range. The efficient sailing plan allows for reducing even more the emissions with the possibility to sail in silent mode for hours.With accommodations for up to eight guests, she features a master suite on the main deck with three guest staterooms below deck making her ideal for families. She offers a level of comfort usually seen motor yacht, but with the pleasure of a sail yacht. Her performance under power is at a high level in high speed, as well as cruising speed for long-range passage making. The total width of the yacht is contained in reasonable proportions in order to reduce structural efforts and permit access in most marinas.

Blue Coast Yachts Unveils 60 m Trimaran

French shipyard Blue Coast Yachts has unveiled its latest project: a 60 m Power Trimaran

The impressive vessel was designed by Coste Design. It can accommodate 12 guests and features a combination of luxury interior architecture and elegant exterior lines. The owner’s suite is located on the main deck, the lower deck being optimized for five additional cabins.

The trimaran design will give the vessel unmatched sea-worthiness, even in rough conditions. Top speed is 30 knots. The three hull design will also offer reduced fuel consumption. For eco-friendly sailing, the craft uses electrical motors integrated in the outriggers for silent navigation. The trimaran has a length of 60m and it's made to be eco-friendly and economical. The batteries can sustain up to 6 hours of silent navigation.

For several months, the engineering and naval architecture office of Blue Coast Yachts at Coste Design & Partners has been developing several power trimarans, comprising one 60-metre and two 53-metre yacht models. The composite material construction process, making use of epoxy, glass, as well as carbon fiber, has just commenced this month.

The yachts have a transatlantic range and reach a maximum speed exceeding 30 knots. For silent low speed navigation and maneuvering, each outrigger (ama) is fitted with a high torque electric motor as auxiliary propulsion.

The interior, customized to the wishes of the owner, gives priority to volume with a modern and minimalist decor. Extensive hydro and aerodynamic research conducted by Gilles Vaton , who collaborated on the project, helped to develop highly efficient water lines and geometry linked to a wing-shaped cross beam generating ground effect to increase comfort and performance even in rough seas.

Blue Coast Yachts reveals 60m trimaran project

Multihull specialist Blue Coast Yachts has revealed details of its latest project — a 60 metre trimaran that will be built in Latvia.

The French yard added that construction will begin in September at the Latitude Yachts facility in Riga, with a planned 2018 launch date.

Designed by Coste Design and Gilles Vaton , the BCY 60m is an extended version of the twin 53 metre trimaran superyachts Galaxy and Galaxy of Happiness , which were launched last month .

The layout includes accommodation for 12 guests and a crew of eight, with a main-deck master cabin and five guest cabins in the central hull. The main saloon includes areas for entertaining and relaxing as well as a formal dining area with grand views through large windows.

The upper deck comprises a raised pilothouse and an upper saloon, while back aft there is room for a glass-sided pool surrounded by sunpads. Further lounging space is available on the foredeck.

Blue Coast Yachts adds that the 60m will come with “enormous scope for customisation”, with a choice of six hull colours and two transom configurations.

The hybrid propulsion system will feature a pair of 2,600hp diesel engines and one electric engine in each of the outriggers. This results in a maximum speed in excess of 30 knots, as well as an all-electric mode that allows silent cruising at up to 8 knots.

Meanwhile, the BCY 60m’s 20,000 litre fuel tank and super-efficient wave-piercing hulls should deliver an estimated cruising range of 2,800 nautical miles.

Naval architecture is by Coste Design, while the main build materials will be GRP and carbon fibre for a total displacement of around 200 tonnes.

Blue Coast 100 Motor Catamaran

The Super Yacht Blue Coast 100 foot "full-custom" motor catamaran, designed by Vaton Design, features modern design, performance, safety and a luxurious interior designed by Jean Jacques Coste. It is constructed from Sealium® aluminium.

Description

The Blue Coast 100 motor catamaran can reach speeds of over 20 knots and has a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles at 11 knots cruising. Additional tanks can be fitted for a transatlantic range.

The 30.00m x 10.64m Blue Coast 100 motor catamaran is equipped with a 2 x 1,500hp waterjet propulsion system for quiet, vibration-free operation and excellent manoeuvrability.

The shallow draft of 1.10m allows anchoring close to the beach, ahead of the other deeper going yachts.

With its generous living space of over 200 m2, it offers modern comfort for 10 guests.

The large owner's suite is located on the upper deck and offers a magnificent view of the sea and its own outdoor terrace. It pampers with a luxurious bathroom with whirlpool bath. Forward on the upper deck is the wheelhouse with the helm and command centre of this unique catamaran yacht, of course with en-suite WC for long watches and a small sitting sofa for guests.

Four identical spacious guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms are located in the hulls. Crew cabins for 4 crew members with en-suite bathrooms are placed there forward to port and to starboard.

The lounge on the foredeck is a sunny lounge area with a Jacuzzi.

The aft cockpit with lounge and dining area offers quality of life in the shade and a hydraulic platform aft.

In the saloon, a dinner table and comfortable lounge for 10. And a large kitchen with bar counter where the chef can prove his art. Fresh long drinks or a glass of champagne are also available there at any time.

The bow tips can be designed as a negative stem to extend the waterline and allow for wave piercing: When waves come from the front, the catamaran is not lifted, it does not pitch and therefore does not lose speed.

Available with conventional diesel engines or with the innovative electric hybrid system "Green ECO Power".
