Asking price | EUR 68,000,000 |
Built | 2005 (refitted 2020), Neorion Syros Shipyards, Greece |
Length | 91.4m (299.9ft) |
Guests | 36 guests in 18 cabins |
The 91.4m (299.9ft) MOONLIGHT II is a 3,052GT yacht that welcomes 36 guests in 18 cabins across three of her five decks with an all-decks elevator to connect them all. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are built to ABS classification as a Class 1 Passenger Ship.
The yacht was delivered by Neorion Syros Shipyard in Greece in 2005 to a single design concept by Alpha Marine/H Poulias and extensively refitted and refurbished in 2020. Currently she is one of very few charter yachts that can welcome parties of this size.
Her sun deck has a raised jacuzzi encircled by sunpads forward, two huge L-shaped wet bars and a dayhead shaded by a removable awning and a circular sun lounge aft that used to be a touch-and-go helipad and could be returned to that service.
Entertainment is the key theme on the bridge deck. There are two open-air dining tables aft seating all guests and walkaround sidedecks. Inside there is a roulette table, fully equipped bar, a convivial lounge with nightclub sound and lighting systems and a hardwood floor for dancing.
The upper deck is home to the yacht’s tenders and jetskis and offers expansive operational space for additional water toys and deck storage items. Inside aft there is the yacht’s cinema, which doubles as a library and reading room with the blackout blinds lifted.
Entering the saloon from the sun lounge on the main deck aft, there is a piano lounge aft of a large lounge space, with wraparound white leather sofas served by a sit-up bar. Forward of that is the formal dining room with 36 guests sharing two tables.
Midships on the lower deck there is a wellness spa around a central spa pool with a fully equipped gym, massage room, two saunas, two steam rooms, beauty salon, changing rooms with showers and heads and a beach club and bar with a generous sea terrace to starboard. This is in addition to a large beach club aft with a semi-circular wet bar, sea terraces port and starboard, dayhead and a TV lounge.
The owner’s suite is forward on the upper deck and features panoramic views forward, over the owner’s private raised jacuzzi nestling amid sunpads, his-and-hers en suites and walk-in wardrobes, and an owner’s office. Adjacent is a twin cabin for the owner’s guests, children or staff. The upper deck is also home to two double suites and two twin suites.
There is a VIP suite with private lounge and a twin cabin on the bridge deck, while on the main deck six double suites and four twin suites complete her accommodation. MOONLIGHT II also sleeps up to 35 crew for excellent service levels.
Twin 2,750hp Caterpillar diesel engines give the yacht a top speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,000nm. Quantum zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort on arrival.

Go Big or Go Home
At 91.4m in length, Moonlight II is no shrinking violet, but it takes a considerable superyacht to comfortably welcome 36 guests, and the 2005-built motor yacht refitted in 2020 does exactly that. With an elevator serving all guest decks, a 3D cinema and an opulent Greek-themed interior, it bucks yachting trends at every turn, creating a memorable charter for large groups of friends and multi-generational family getaways wanting high fun on the high seas.

Bucking Trends
Bubbling Boat Time
Moonlight II’s vast sundeck centres on a large on-deck Jacuzzi and the extensive sunbathing area that surrounds it, both of which enjoyed a refresh in 2021. Add two bars and a seating area to the mix, and the result is a private sea terrace for guests to while away the day on. A second private Jacuzzi with sunpads located on the owner’s deck guarantees a bubble bath for all guests at all hours of the day.
Sparring Partners
A newly revamped spa with massage room, two sauna/steam rooms and a central Jacuzzi area with plush sofas is complemented by a stunning beauty centre, serviced by a qualified hairdresser and beautician. Those wanting to workout prior to a pamper should make their way to the fully equipped gym. For any injuries picked up along the way, a trip to the onboard medical facility will have it in hand.
36 and Counting
Few yachts can accommodate more than 12 guests overnight, but Moonlight II shatters that illusion by sleeping 36 guests in 18 roomy staterooms. There’s sheltered dining for all guests on the bridge deck aft, too. So, when it’s time to unite the entire family, celebrate an anniversary with friends or throw the corporate event of a lifetime, the ability to be together at sea is made easy aboard Moonlight II.

Guests can try their hands at all manner of toys and watercraft, including diving beneath the waves to see what lies beneath. Once surfaced, stunning cuisine and impeccable service elevate the experience to a life-affirming level of joy.
Enhanced Energy
Roarsome and Awesome
Even Moonlight II’s assortment of toys is supersized. Boasting two 12-person Castoldi jet tenders and a beach club at sea level equipped with a bar and balcony, guests can take their pick from waverunners, underwater scooters, flyboards, paddle boards, waterskis, wakeboards and towables for hours of fun at sea. With more than enough to go around, there is never a dull moment aboard this well-kitted out yacht.
Performance
Welcome one and all.
Enjoying an elevator that serves all decks and zero speed stabilisers to reduce any rolling motion while at anchor, Moonlight II benefitted from an extensive programme of improvements and upgrades in 2021. Fitted with HUG filters to provide cleaner generator exhausts, and maintaining a respectable cruising speed of 13 knots, the yacht extends the superyacht life to large groups of guests without compromising on personalised quality.

Meet ‘Moonlight II,’ the 300-Foot Superyacht Topped With a Giant Breakdancing Bunny

Originally commissioned by Cyprus-born British businessman Andreas Liveras and named Alysia , this 300-foot yacht’s $100 million build cost earned the title of most expensive yacht in the world in 2006. Today, the price seems almost quaint compared to recent builds. But many of features still command attention in classy, kitschy and downright bizarre ways: The 11-foot-tall, red bunny sculpture on the sun deck that is breakdancing; an exotic fish-themed interior; a plush cinema; and, last but not least, a multicolored Grecian spa.
Following Liveras’s 2008 death, the yacht was acquired by its current owner in 2010 and renamed Moonlight II . “In the Middle East, travel was largely by night, under moonlight, to avoid the heat of the day,” Captain Stiliyan Rangelov tells Robb Report . “It meant the moon and stars, which are thought to represent the guidance of God on the path through life, could be used for navigation.”
In 2012, a significant refit saw boat’s 280-foot length extended by 20 feet. It also included a refreshed interior by Lally Poulias, which introduced bright modern colors and a “sand-and-ocean” interior to reflect the owner’s love of sport fishing, sailing, and all things marine. It’s best reflected in the exotic carpet inlays of marine life and extravagant fish-themed sculptured furniture. Some of the yacht’s original features remain, such as the grandiose marble pillars in the spa and master suite. It’s now for sale for about $73.7 million or charter for about $813,000 per week, via Burgess.
Here are 10 things you didn’t know about one of the world’s most colorful yachts.
Catch of the Day
The Middle Eastern owner’s passion for sailing, fishing, and cruising the Red Sea is evident in his choice of a marine-themed interior. The detailed custom carpets in the guest cabins and the main deck dining room feature brightly colored exotic fish. Guests also dine atop two large bespoke sport fish–themed glass-top tables designed by an American artist and positioned beneath mirrored ceilings.
The Bunny Pad
The red, 11-foot-tall breakdancing pop-art bunny takes guests by surprise when they step foot on the teak sun deck. It’s positioned atop the yacht’s helipad, which, though not currently in use, is designed to accommodate a chopper.
Master Blaster
A bright custom carpet, marble pillars, a tan leather bed, and multicolored LED lighting ensure the full-beam owner’s suite carries just as much stylistic impact as the rest of the yacht. The private owner’s deck forward includes a Jacuzzi surrounded by red sun pads. There is a second tub in the spa and yet another on the sundeck.
Double or Nothing
At night, the upper lounge transforms into a nightclub, equipped with a sound system, smoke machines, lights, and bar. It also doubles as a casino, which echoes the yacht’s lineage with sistership Queen Miri , once owned by the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson.
Picture House
A dedicated cinema with a retro popcorn machine and sumptuous tan leather seating is great for cozy movie nights. Elsewhere, a specialist television plays 3-D movies, while Starlink satellites ensure connectivity.
Grecian Spa
Echoes of the yacht’s original Greek-themed interior are found in the lower deck spa, which includes a massage, a steam room and sauna, and a beauty salon with a qualified hairdresser and beautician. Large marble pillars, neon-pink lighting, a bronze buddha sculpture, and a twinkling LED night sky create an elegant atmosphere.
The yacht’s sea-level beach club was updated in the 2021 refit, and includes a bar, a side balcony for tender access, and uninterrupted views out to sea. Even here, the vibrant color palette is evident in the mirrored-dome ceiling and bespoke rug. Two large television screens entertain guests who prefer to relax.
The walls in the main-deck lounge are adorned with bespoke framed carpet wall hangings and a sculptural turtle coffee table that further reflect the owner’s hobbies and lifestyle. This area also has a piano for evenings of live music, frequently played by family members, royalty, and celebrities alike.
Lucky Number 36
Unusually for a charter yacht, Moonlight II accommodates up to 36 guests in 18 generously sized guest cabins, including this VIP with its own large lounge. Entertaining that number of guests can be a big ask at sea, but the yacht’s open-plan interior, large exterior deck areas, and 35-person crew more than manage the crowd.
The Big Splash
When it’s time to hit the water, Moonlight II is an RYA-registered training center for guests to take full advantage of the large selection of water toys.

The 91.4-metre Neorion motor yacht Moonlight II has changed central agencies and is now listed for sale with Jonathan Hind at Burgess .
The brainchild of the late Andreas Liveras, Moonlight II was built in steel by Greek shipyard Neorion and delivered in 2005. She was designed by Alpha Marine with interiors by H. Poulias. The broker noted that the seller is motivated and as such, all serious offers are encouraged. Her most recent refit was in 2020.
Moonlight II was originally commissioned as the 85.3-metre Alysia by Andreas Liveras along with a sistership Annaliesse , now Queen Miri . Liveras is renowned in the industry as a pioneer in the superyacht charter arena, introducing large spas and high-capacity vessels to the charter market.
Passenger Ship certified, Moonlight II accommodates a party of 36 in 18 staterooms and suites and offers guests over 2,400 square metres of living space to enjoy. The superyacht has hosted many VIPs over its decks at events from Monaco to the Middle East, served by a crew of 36.
The main saloon offers a multitude of comfortable seating areas, a bar, and a grand piano, while the "presidential size" dining area shows its opulence with two large dining tables to seat the full party of 36 guests. From the dining room, one enters the reception lobby, which serves the 10 guest staterooms located on the main deck and leads to the spectacular full-beam spa which includes a massage room, beauty salon, steam shower and gym.
The upper deck presents an impressive en suite owner’s apartment with private access to an on-deck Jacuzzi. This deck includes five guest cabins and a fully equipped cinema room. The bridge deck boasts a sky lounge, ideally suited to entertainment, with a games room and a bar. This deck also includes two guest staterooms.
Moonlight II was lengthened by 6.1 metres during a refit in 2014 to 2015 when new exterior deck spaces and seating areas were added across her 14-metre beam. She sports a vast beach club with bar, elevator to all decks and a touch-and-go helipad.
The ABS-classed 3,052 GT yacht for sale cruises at 14 knots and has a top speed of 14.5 knots. She has a range of 5,051 nautical miles at maximum speed.
Lying in Dubai, Moonlight II is asking €68,000,000.

An important question remains, In specific, is this a cruise ship masquerading as a private yacht? Or does this yacht and her crew deliver the superyacht experience™ to the charter guests? From the moment a person steps aboard, the resounding answer is , “This is the ULTIMATE private yacht!”
Megayacht MOONLIGHT II has the interior and exterior finish and furnishings and fittings of a true luxury vessel. She has great detail as to design, quality, and safety.

She has an onboard digital PBX telephone system. In addition, it is equipped with ISDN compatible software. The communications system has five satellite connections. Further, it links via an Inmarsat Ship to Earth station.
The yacht’s color scheme is a relaxing blend of colors chosen from nature’s palette. It is not unlike the colors of Cyprus-wheat, golden maize, olive and deep clay reds. In addition, splashed against gentle, cream-colored handmade carpets and sofas. It compliments the sea views afforded by large windows. Numerous seating sections allow guests to create their own conversation areas. Salon and lounge areas are large. Moreover, accommodate an entourage, if needed.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
